Anyone elses favorite genre Action Adventure

Whenever someone makes a favorite genre thread everyone says RPGs or FPS. Im I the only who finds a streamlined action packed focus with a great story and platforming and puzzzle solving elements make the greatest games. Games like SMG2, Uncharted 2, Enslaved, InFAMOUS, Assassins Creed, Zelda and Metal Gear Solid, and much more.

It also seam that the hate is also not there.

Action/adventure is my favorite genre. Playing on the N64 got me into it. Unfortunately it's a dying genre... I was freaking out when I saw Enslaved because I had almost given up on the genre. Ratchet and Clank can't do all the work.

Yeah they're great games but they kinda trickle out now. You get about 1 action adventure game for every 20 FPS games. That means the games are better quality but I wish people made more.

Well if you consider MGS, Zelda, Uncharted and Mario to be "action adventure" then hell yes its my favorite :P. I mean those series alone make up 5 out of 7 of my 10's. The other two being Diablo II and Super Metroid. If you consider those to be "action adventure" as well, then I guess it is without a doubt my favorite genre ;).

Yep, Action adventure is one of my favorite genres and I hope there will be some great ones in the future. I prefer games like Uncharted over any FPS games on the market.

Its one of my favourite. 2D platformers are up there too. Shadow of the Colossus is among my most favourite games ever.

The Action Adventure isn't as strong as it used to be but i'd definitely agree it's my favourite :D God Of War > CoD + Halo + Every other FPS combined :P
