Maybe I am the only one. I've been a fan of the genre for years. I knew them as "Doom clones" in the early 90's, then they were called "first person shooters/ FPS", and in just the past year I have heard them be called simply "shooters" more and more.

I love these games, don't get me wrong. You name it, Iv'e played it or own it. A part of me is started to get tired though. Every other hyped up game is a shooter. It's starting to get old. I want something different.

Anyone feel the same way or disagree with me?

Yeah. It's especially bad for me because I just don't lke the genre.

There's way too many, and they are all starting to look the same, IMO

No I'm not really getting tired of them myself probably because I play alot of other games in different genres. There are really alot of excellent games available that don't fall into the shooter category.

I have this great way of not getting tired of any games and that is that I don't keep buying the same kinds of games over and over again. Right now on my "Now Playing" list are a few RPG's, a FPS, an action adventure and a survival horror...

If you feel worn out of certain games then the blame sadly falls on you.

It must be admitted that a lot of shooters are coming out (and currently are out), but there are other games out to play.

Shooters are fun, but not when there's 50 different ones that you can play. Just stick with one of them that you enjoy.
