There are so many games that are coming out soon that I really want to get and I'm thinking I'm going to be broke by the time I get all of the games. I'm excited for Gears of War 3, Rage, Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, Assassin's Creed Revelations, and I want to get the Playstation Vita as well. Anyone else feeling the same way?

I've got some stuff I want, won't be broke though. It's like 2 games and the PSV. PSV won't be a day 1 buy since its launch games suck. Might have to wait a month or two after release.

I would never allow to get broke by something as games, but I'm going to get a lot this year, but I can afford them

More than likely, yes. I'll be picking up all six of my most-anticipated games of this year and won't have any money after that.

All the games I want are in my sig... and fortunately they are all coming out about a month apart (other than ME3). I've already got El Shaddai half paid for just in case I'm a little short next month.

I'm heading to University so will be getting a nice grant that will be going towards buying some of these awesome titles. Also got a job down where I'm studying so got plenty of money for Games and Partying.

Infamous 2, Deus Ex,Dark Souls, Battlefield 3, Arkham City, Skyrim, and Dead Island. They won't bankrupt me, but they will destroy my social life.

As for the six games that will leave me broke, this is what I'll be picking up, all in order of release.

-Gears Of War 3
-Forza Motorsport 4 (Will be switching to collector's edition)
-Batman: Arkham City
-Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
-Assassin's Creed: Revelations
-Saints Row The Third

Nope, I just signed up for Gamefly. I am tired of spending $60.00 a piece for stacks of games every year when I can rent two at a time for $23.00 a month and play them all I want. There is usually a horde of games every year that I really want to play, but do not need to own and this allows me to play them all without having to buy them. I will ultimately be able to play all of the games I have interest in, while only buying the ones that I have to have in my collection. All while saving a ton of $.

This to the power of two. Buy the super long RPG and open world games and rent the rest! Rental is where its at. There are at least a dozen games left this year I want to play badly so thats a lot of money saved if I only buy a couple.

I will probably buy a couple of games on my wish list and then wait until the others drop in price. I really need to keep some money for others during the holiday season...not to mention bills :(

Yeah I'll have to save up for the holidays as well, so hopefully I'll ask for some games on my little Christmas list here. :) But I should have mention what people are saying how our social life will be gone now and I agree definitely.

My social life will definitely be gone, except on holidays where I'll be spending time with family and friends (of course). :) Fourth of July coming up. Going to have a big ole BBQ!

Collectors editions for Red Orchestra 2, Saints Row 3 for me only in 2011. That said, I'm prepared to lay down 100+ for a SR3 LCE and I was hoping for a third-tier Mass Effect 3 LCE for next year :P.

Same here and I don't buy much any more unless $30 or cheaper. They go down fast minus titles like Halo so just wait a bit and you can save a lot of cash.

Well for the holidays I'll be working 24/7 so I'll rarely spend time with my family and friends.

Ugh....

Sorry, I better not be in this conversation. Although I can safely say I will still have money left, that's unless Conservatives really go off on one and decide anyone who didn't go into private education be shipped to work in sweat shops in China, but that won't have anything to do with the latest chest high wall, over shoulder shooter or generic military FPS I can assure you.

In this economy where I live a better question would be "who is already broke in 2011 and can't buy everything?"

Not really, no. I have a job, but I have/had tons of credit at Amazon and Gamestop, so the majority of games I'm buying these days are costing me nothing out of pocket.

By the end of 2011, I'd probably have spent $500-$600 on games, buying a 3DS and a few 3DS games, and possibly other games for my other systems.
