anyone have a feeling e3 is going to be bad?

i mean maybe not last year bad....(christ the only good thing that came of that was 3ds thats it...)

but..

Nintendo : prolly gonna be like sony when they released the price of there ps3 and will be mocked and laughed at (especially if over 350 dollars) and no announcement or even touch upon xenoblade or TLS because they dont see a point since there gonna front this new machine at the end of the years/start of the next..

sony/square : square is probly going to fudge around saying stuff without actually saying nothing maybe announcing there new mmo to give a nice middle finger to those that bought ffxiv. Sony I feel bad for them seeing as the whole ps3 problem that plus fronting there new NGP specs which will prolly end in disaster...

microsoft: only one i cant guess thought probly nothing great ubisoft will show off the new ghost recons kinect control maybe and be laughed at. possibly announce there next console but meh...

Yeah, a bunch of devs will be absent from E3 this year if I recall correctly and pretty much everything I want has been announced or has been pushed to a 2012 release so for metheres really nothing to look forward to.
Aliens: Colonial Marines will be a 2012 release and Bf3 unless they show console MP footage I don't care. Handheld are for children and since my PS3 pooped out I really don't care what Sony has to say. And **** MW3...

Next Years E3 will be B.A. cause you know they'll start releasing info on the new consoles. But this year will be eh... Last 2 years have been crappy TBH.

I'm interested in how the Sony conference is going to turn out with the recent backlash (and now the rumor about the NGP being downgraded). I predict Nintendo's going to be on top this year solely because of their new console. New consoles are usually a big deal.

If the TC thinks that the only good thing that came out of last year's E3 was the 3DS then he is obviously burned out on games and stuck on gimmicks (look, Street Fighter in Threee-deeee!).

For gamers, I'm sure E3 2011 will be great. There are some interesting original games in the pipeline (Catherine, Child of Eden and Journey spring to mind) and there are lots of promising looking sequels in the works (nods towards Dark Souls, Starhawk, Uncharted 3 and Twisted Metal) gamers are eager to see more of, not to mention the games that will be announced (I will be surprised if David Cage's next project isn't unveiled and there have been a lot of rumors popping up about a God of War sequel, though given how the original ended, I don't see where it can go).

Of course, I'm sure every gamer would offer up a different list of anticipated games, but gamers are looking forward to E3.

In previous years I followed all the pre-E3 news religiously, and when the day finally came, I knew it all in advance. This year I've barely been paying any attention to anything, so I think it will hold some nice surprises for me. Oh I know the major hardware announcements and that stuff, but I'm really just interested in upcoming games.

Even though what you said was an opinion, hearing that makes me think you're jumping the gun a bit. GTA V may be a huge highlight, but a lot of people are wondering more about the big 3 conferences and see what they will do. For me, I'm not just interested in what they will do, but I'm also interested in hearing any new information about the games I am set on buying this year. Should be interesting!

Hm, maybe. Still looking forward to it though, never know what kind of surprise announcements might be made. I'd really like to see more on the NGP, regardless.

E3 is the perfect place to generate potential sales. The new console may not be coming this year, but Nintendo can at least get people hype enough to wait for it. Companies go to E3 to do business.

Sony probably show some stupid new exclusives that no one will care about or even bother to buy.

Microsoft will brag about it's sales and show some Kinect games that not even my 5 year old cousin is going to play.

Rockstar is obsessive regarding marketing, they're not going to allow anyone to annouce their game. It has never happened. Grand Theft Auto IV was announced in March 2007 by Rockstar (remember the trailer that broke the internets?).

Rockstar traditionally doesn't attend E3. It's not gonna happen.

I think it can end up fantastic, I wouldn't be surprised to have a PS4 announced, maybe even the next xBox. With Cafe we might see all next gen systems. I also want to get more infos on NGP and I'm sure we get some interessting game announcements

I can't say it's going to be bad, but I'm not that excited for it.

Maybe there will be some exciting announcements, though.

It broke the internet because we all wanted to see the first trailer for the already announced GTA IV. It was first announced at E3 06 when Peter Moore rolled up his sleeve and revealed a (temporary) GTA IV tattoe. Debut trailer isn't the same as an announcement.

But hasn't one of the rumours of Cafe that it's supposed to be easy to port 360 games to it? It's also supposed to be slightly more powerful than 360/PS3 or at about the same level at the very least. It will not be less powerful. That much is a given even if we don't know the specs yet, so I don't really understand that argument. It should be pretty simple for Rockstar to make GTA V multiplat with a Cafe version included. I see no reason GTA V couldn't be on that console.

No, im really excited, a new console being shown, new handhelds, 3ds games and ngp footage. Only Microsoft has nothing for me to get excited about. I'm more excited for this e3 than I have for the past 4 years.

I haven't really been paying attention, but I assume Mass Effect 3, Arkham City, Skyrim, and SWTOR will have some decent reveals at E3. That's what I'm most interested in, so it will probably be good for me, at least. Oh, and if GTA V is announced, that will make up for anything else.
