I like to use it for puzzle games, Marble Madness, beat em ups and shooters, any one else here a fan of this controller?

I used to have one of those. Pretty nifty piece of kit. However, I never liked the fact that while only one person could use it, it took up BOTH controller ports. What was the point of that?NamelessPlayer
You can switch between player 1 and 2, so if you didn't have a simultanious 2 player game like Ikari Warriors, you both could share the 1 controller and just switch off. I use Super Mario as an example of where you both could share 1 controller.

The SMB case makes sense, but for those games that do have both players playing at the same time, it's annoying since you can't hook up two of the things, and it's hard to tell which port is supposed to be for P1 and which one's for P2. (Worse off, I vaguely remember trying it with just one plug inserted, only to watch the thing not work...)Yes, I own it. It is broken.
It was really great that I played it with any harder game. It could reduce my thumbs hurt. My thumbs got hurt by NES controller.

All you had to do was plug one in, and if the controller wasn't working, flip the switch from player one to player two and it would work. You didn't need to have both plugs put it at the same time....

it could take up either 1 OR both ports. see there's a switch labeled 1 and 2. Super Mario Bros for example you would play Mario on player 1, then you'd move the switch to player 2 for Luigi.
My brother has this controller. and it works GREAT for Track and Field II. that game has some events like the hammer-throw. Where you have to move the controller in a circle to pick up speed, then you hit a button to release the hammer. but I agree the controller is kinda big, tall and goofy. Doesn't work too well for most games.
