i found this old VHS tape of our family when we use to have friday night family night outs, and on the tape was a part with me and my cousins playing in the arcade at good ol' Shakey's Pizza. and man i gotta tell you guys....playing against people you dont even know online is nothing compared to playing against people you dont even know in real life! this tape was about damn around 14 years old, and i remember how fun it use to be playing a game in the arcades and then having random people join you and play with you and you all yell and scream and cheer for eachother....that was a great way to make actual friends back in the day before online gaming become popular *sigh* anyone else have any fond memories of playing in the arcades with random people and making friends?

Oh goodness you brought back some great memories (Shakey's Pizza isa name I haven't heard in a looong time lol). My fond memories of the arcade--Okinawa, Japan in the early 80s and in the U.S. in late 80s/early 90s. I remember I went to a mall in California and (if I'm not mistaken) and therewas an arcade called "The Goldmine" or something to that effect. I was in the U.S. Navy in Japan for a couple of years (1996-1999) and I can tell you the arcade scene is alive and well there. I would take the Arcade Gaming scene over Online Gaming any day of the week (sigh, I miss those times) :(
