So with Birth by Sleep's release on the PSP, I was wondering if I should play the series at last, but I'm kinda concerned about the story. How childish is it? Is it worth my time? I still have Xenosaga trilogy to beat, so dunno. I'm 21 btw.

Well I guess that's debatable. They are kid friendly games(i.e. no blood, swearing, etc.), but the story is pretty complex and has some very abstract themes, that a child won't understand at all, and I speak from experience, since I was 7-8 when the first game came out and I admittedly didn't really understand what was happening in the grand scheme of things. In all I don't find them childish, but I do suppose I can see how some people would.
On a side note if you do decide to get Birth by Sleep, I would suggest playing at least I and II first since the end of Birth by Sleep won't really mean anything to you if you haven't played the first two( There is a small tie to chain of memories as well, but that isn't nearly as significant, and doesn't require you to play the entire game to pick up on it)
you should get it! It's childish in the sense of it all being disney style, but the story is deep, and entertaining! And it's fun playing through all the disney movies. Just the little mermaid got on my nerves a bit
To me it's not so much them being childish that bothers me as they are just plain bad games.JVIIHow dare you say that!!! They are the best games ever (IMO)!!!
The first KH game was somewhat childish. It was kind of annoying but it didn't really affect gameplay. The second KH game was far better and not so childish. Birth By Sleep is supposed to technically be the "darkest" of all KH games. From what I have played so far, I'd say BBS was more mature. I think the whole point is while we see the characters at young ages, we also see them get older (maybe not too much older) and change.
