Are my games out there? Help!

I'm looking for something in a squad based shooter with character creation. I'm looking closely at Rainbow Six Vegas 2! I WANT to know if you can create the whole squad of four or five characters, or, just the main character? Are there any other squad based shooters that let you make the whole squad?

Second, I want a sports game. Any besides wrestling it can even be baseball. I know you can make your own players in many of the major titles. What is WANT is a game where you can mix guy and girl players on the team.

Am I dreaming about pie in the sky or are these game out there?

Your first describtion actually had me thinking about Xcom: Enemy Unknown. You can create a full squad of characters in that game but of course it isn't a shooter.

Checked out Spec Ops the line, it looks good but can you customize the squad? Same question with ME 3

No customization there, but for squad-based shooters, try The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. Massively underrated game.
