Are the events of Dynasty warriors real?

If I remember correctly, they're based off of the actual events, although edited for gameplay of course.

I know this may seem stupid but are the events in Dynasty warriors real or are they fiction? Because of the Novel romance of the Three kingdoms im not sure if the events were written or if they really happened. Please help Thanks! Avatar97avatar97

game is based on that novel which is an historical novel over 200 years of war in china about the unification if im not wrong.

The time period is real. I don't believe the novel was though, or it was just loosly based on what happened. Samurai Warriors is based on real events and people.

Dynasty Warriors is based off a fictional novel that is based off of historical events. So the story is completely fake, but the things that happened may of happen. Say the wars, the seige of a castle or town and what not. The people were mostly real, but the conversations and whatnot is completely fake.
