I've played many games and a lot of times I just pick one up because it got a high review. I tried bioshock 2 before and because of some issues i had to return it. Recently I tried Bioschock one and for some reason I just can't get into this game. Its a neat game and its fun but I'm not quiet "feeling" it. Anyone experienced anything similar?

I had no idea you can return games just because you don't like them; where do I sign up? And to think I put all this effort researching the games I buy, reading various reviews and watching gameplay videos on YouTube, like a sucker.

I believe at EB Games (Gamestop in America) you can return within 7 days, no questions.

This, also for me it would be Metroid. They are fun games but I can't play anyone of them for more then five minutes without being bored to death. I haven't tried Other-M though. Also Disgaea fits this category for myself.

Bioshock took me like 4 years to get into, even now though I don't think I could/would play it again. Mirrors Edge - I don't know why Bastion - see Mirrors Edge Portal 2 - I thought Glados was funny, but that's about it.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 bored the hell out of me, didn't bother with 3.

Demon Souls, found the bosses way too hard and the game kinda drab to look at.

L.A. Noire, the definition of dull to me.

Marval VS Capcom 3, one of the most unenjoyable fighting games I've ever played.

Oh quite a few games.

Bioshock - got a couple hours into it and ejected it. I didn't get into its much vaunted "atmosphere" at all. Just didn't do anything for me.

Dead Island - just some unsatisfying and infinitely repetitive zombie combat.

Midnight Club LA - it was fun for a few evenings, but it didn't take long before all the races started to seem the same, and since you were always dealing with oncoming traffic you could never "master" a track or anything like that.

Red Faction Armageddon - played for a few hours. Just didn't get into it at all. Seemed horribly inferior to Guerrilla in every way. I dunno, I really should give that one another chance some day.

Tomb Raider Underworld - played for a few hours and it just wasn't any fun.

The Elder Scrolls Oblivion - just seemed like a clumsy counterpart to the Fallout games.

Resistance Fall of Man - the most generic shooter I've ever played.

The Devil May Cry games misfired with me. All the bits and pieces seemed present and correct (and I do like a bit of third person hack-and-slashery) but they refused to coalesce into a single, beautiful whole. With the HD remakes on the horizon I may give these another go, though.

Agreed. Also Resistance 2, 3, the Killzones, MAG, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Homeworld, etc. Bulletstorm gets a lot of flak, but it's one of the few FPS games I felt did something different enough to be fun. The rest are lost in a sea of grey space shooting and modern warfare.

Xenogears. In the 30ish hours that I played the story and characters did little for me, and the lack of comedic relief made it drag too much for me to stay interested. It's the only RPG I've never finished.

Neverwinter Nights 2. No idea why. I played it, I liked almost all teh individual elements of it, but I just couldn't force myself to like the game as a whole.

Yeah, Battlefield 3. I often get that sinking feeling that the game just isn't much fun and switch it off after an hour. Maybe it's the maps or the increase in stupid players from BC 2, which was a blast compared to this.

3D Dot Game Heroes - Liked the style, thought it was an okay game but I didn't see much point in playing an homage to 8-bit Zelda when I could just play 8-bit Zelda. Couldn't hold my attention.

Assassin's Creed - First game bored me to tears, subsequent titles didn't grab my attention either.

Heavy Rain - Really didn't feel this game at all, though I did have the ending spoiled for me before I had a chance to even play the game, so that could be a large factor.

That happens to me if I play too many games of a certain genre. After a while they all start to become the same as each other for me.

I can't get into Mass Effect. Played the second one for about 10 hours or so, then quit out of sheer

boredom: The story is dumb, the characters suck, the whole renegade paragon spiel is tired.

Bioshock didn't do it for me, neither did Crysis. Deux Ex HR didn't raise my blood pressure at all. I was glad when it was over.

A lot of games suck because they go on forever and ever.

OTOH, I had a blast playing Bulletstorm and enjoyed every second of it.

God Of War series. I played throught the majority of GOW3, got near the end & just couldn't finish. I just don't feel there is anything likeable about these games

I was never a fan of MGS or Zelda but i keep forcing myself back to them, i keep forcing myself to like them. Im going to like these games if it's the death of me. I will not lay down until my soul loves everything MGS & Zelda have to offer.

I agree. It took me a very long time to get into Bioshock. Then suddenly, it just "clicked." Now, it's one of my favorite games and Bioshock Infinite is one of my most anticipated games.

Easy to agree with Bioshock and LA Noire. Holy Christ that was boring!

No one mentioned Assassin's Creed yet. Do every stunt imaginable by holding a shoulder button and action button down at the same time. Are you kidding me?! Jesus H Christ!

Right now? For me, it's any game with a modern warfare theme. I'm big-time burned out. That's why all the little humble fps games like Hard Reset appeals to me right now.

I can take the same quote replace it with a different game & nobody has a problem. Look at this.

"No one mentioned Racing games ( any racing games ) yet. Do every stunt imaginable by holding a shoulder button and action button down at the same time. Are you kidding me?! Jesus H Christ!"

Its the same thing in racing games so i dont know why people have a problem with it in AC. The game is all about free running & free clmbing. If you were to have to tap buttons every time you want to you want to scale something you would be exhausted, tired & find it extremely boring, tedious & repetitive

Picture playing a racing game yet instead of holding down the shoulder button to drive you have to tap the button consistently in order to accelerate & keep moving

ACs designers said they tried different control shemes before but didnt work because of this. Holding the button down works much better, it is much more pratical, as if driving your character the same way you would in a racing game.

I don't have names, per se, but lately I'm not keen on first-person shooters. Although, this could be because I'm burnt out from CrossFire, Killzone & Call of Duty.

I played through ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD last week and as great as they were, I had to force myself to finish them. They lacked the emotions I were expecting to find, but great music and great atmosphere if you will.

Also, I'd rather die over 10 times on a boss in Demon's Souls and start the level all over than faliing off a Colossus/doing the boogie dance on top of one, because that's a whole lot less frustrating.

Maybe I was expecting too much from this...ART, you know...

GTA 4 and Uncharted 3. Both were disappointments to my expectations and did not live up to the quality gameplay I experienced with their predecessors. Other games include:

Splinter Cell (felt like a fake Metal Gear to me, only lasted about 1 hour with it)

Devil May Cry 3 (it wasn't the difficulty but sheer repetition and dull level design that killed it for me even though I enjored the fast paced combat)

Skyrim (started off good, but gets boring after 50 or so hours. I definitely got my money's worth but took a break to start on ME2. I may dive back in and finish the main quest later down the line)

LA Noire (glad I watched a few youtube vids 1st before wasting money a digital sedative)

Baldur's Gate and all other RPGs like it... I've bought them all on GoG... I just can't get past the first few areas cause I get instantly bored and not drawn into the game. I've never gotten that feel for the DnD games. I also don't like games where I have to manage 5-6 characters, I prefer just managing 1 character.
