The original is one of the best ever made, and the sequel(while being a bit iffy in spots) is a fairly solid(if not somewhat frustrating) experience.

The first one is the best, play it and loved it, very involved and profound. The character development is the best part about it and the fact that you can solve each mission using different approaches. Worst part is the graphics, gameplay is awesome but graphics, Ughh... There are times you´ll think you´re playing on a N64. But if you get pass the graphics, you´ll find a great game within.

Original is definitely a strong choice for the best PC game.

Yes, and I think they age pretty well... you won't really mind the graphics on the first one once you really get into the game. I highly recommend both Deus Ex and Deus Ex 2. Two amazing games with amazing storylines!

The original game is a pc classic.

It was so good that the sequel felt a bit like a dissappointment.

The first game changed my conception of how good action RPGs can be.

I would suggest that you play Deus Ex Invisible War first and then go back to Deus Ex 1 and download some graphical mods for it ( I think the latest Game Informer had a small blurb about a few modes that increase texture resolution)

Invisible War makes a couple of referrences to Deus Ex 1 but nothing to where you're lost and can't enjoy the game... and then when you dive into the original, you'll play a game with more depth so it feels like you're actually playing a prequel

The first one is the ONLY WRPG I've ever enjoyed.

Deus Ex isnt good....its Amazing...its how a cyber punk FPS should be done. Clear hands down for one of the best fps and action rpgs of all time. One of the most ingrossing stories in video game history and was perfect for the time it came out....11 out of 10
