Are you a gamer who plays shooting games with the Y-axis inverted. I'm a proud one (and I don't even know how I became one).

im still stuck using the old generation style contollers with the two joysticks i dunno i think thats proally the best way to do a shooter so im not really down with trying out these new gen y axis first person shooters sounds a little to advanced for me .

I use normal. I've never really played a game to tried to play a game with inverted Y-axis controls to be honest.

Yes. It makes more sense in third person shooters, because rotating the camera in an upward arc would cause your view to shift downward, and I just carried that preference into First Person.

Yes and I have been ever since Super Mario 64. Now that I think about it, it's an absolutely stupid habit!

I imagine the analog stick as my head. I want to look up, I pull my head back. I want to look down, I push my head down.

Star Fox 64 and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron may or may not have had any influence in this.

Same as above. Being doing inverted since flight sim days. Pulling the stick down to look up is like pulling your head back to me, it makes more sense to me in a 3d environment. Can't play normal at all. :D

I play games like Rogue Squadron and Star Fox inverted, but all other games I play normal. Just easier to remember when you are trying to aim a reticule.

I can do both, but most default use non-inverted, so I'm probably better at it.

I have to play my console games with the Y-axis inverted.
With PC games, I have to play non-inverted, unless it's a game featuring aircraft, in which I invert the Y-axis for aircraft control.

I play inverted for any game that involves aiming or steering. To me it doesnt seem to make you any better (in my case Im twitchy, and when Im playing games I can have the most kills or whatever but use up the most bullets lol), its just a personal preference.

it depends on the game, most of the time i played inverted with fps. but with third person view games, i somtimes kept it normal. I can play either way, it just takes an hour or two, than whichever way works usually

It depends on how the game controls. some games make this type of play easier, but some don't. But about 90% of shooters convince me not to invert.

I only use inverted aim in a game where I'm actually flying. If I'm just playing a guy with a gun in his hand, pressing up to look up seems much more natural to me.

I have a hard enough time figuring how to drive backwards in games like twisted metal. I can't imagine trying to reflex into shooting someone with inverted controls.

Yes, you can thank nintendo for making the inverted Y axis default on all their first party n64 games. I love how the 360 allows me to automatically make the inverted Y default for all games.
