Do you find yourself buying more and more games as generations progress? I find myself buying so many games, most of them not even worthy games too. It seems like gamers are buying more games and playing less in result.
im buying less and less. i got my upcoming sr. year in highschool and (hopefully) college to worry about. and most of the time when im done with a game i just sell it.
Well I used to buy games whenever I got the chance which was pretty often but now that I'm saving up for my PS3, I really have to take it easy, especially seeing as a don't have a job lol...so yeah recently i've stopped buying games like there was no tomorrow

im spending almost all my money on my tuition. I guess i can use the remaining money to buy games but ill have to wait for a really worthy game though.
I recently finished buying around 20 Gamecube games in 2 years (most of them were $20 though, so it wasn't that bad). Now I'm confining myself to the PC, and there are only around 5 games I'm interested in every year.
I'm probably buying just as many as ever, except when I do they're almost always Player Choice/Greatest Hits games. It's been a while since I paid full price for a game. I think the exception to the rule would be a couple DS games. The need to own a game the moment it comes out is gone, so that's been a nice feeling for my wallet.
I buy more games as the console dies. IE: When the PS was replaced by the PS2 or as the PS2 gets replaced by the PS3. The games drop in price, even when being released as new, and more hard to get classics appear on the shelves as people sell them to afford the next console. Once I get the next gen. console(s) I want (about two or three years after they come out, depending on price/if the previous console still has any good games released) then the amount I buy drops. Rinse. Lather. Repeat.
It's been about the same since I've had my own source of income. During the beginning of the year, I buy like maybe 2 or 3 games a month sometimes none. Around the end of the summer going into holiday season I will probably buy up to almost a grand in video games.
I buy pretty much the ame now as ever, only now I only really buy the quality games i'm looking forward too meaning it's very staggered. Like, I haven't bought a single game since DiRT and before that, I think it was Okami, but when the big rush comes in September, i'll have loads to get.

No decent new games have been released in the last 3 months, and this goes for all systems.
I have bought far fewer games for this generation than I did for last gen. The PS2 had so many good games that came down in price so quickly that I bought over 150 games for the system in6 years. I have only purchased 5 Wii games (3 of which were a mistake) and 4 PS3 games. I'll buy maybe one PS3 game every four to six weeks from here on out, but most of the Wii games have been so bad that I'm really only going to buy the few big Nintendo franchise titles (Mario Galaxy etc.) and probably won't buy more than 10 total Wii games throughout the system's lifespan.

Which is why I am skipping Wii. 10 good titles in a systems lifetime is pathetic. Im sure 50% of them will not live up to there hype either....red steel for example.
i've sorta lost interest in buying lots of games atm, but this coming holiday season will really burn a hole in my wallet, with all these games coming out
