Nah. I've got franchise fatigue. It might end up being worthwhile but it seemed liek AC3 should have been the end. But, unsurprisingly, they just gave us another stupid cliffhanger. I'm kinda done with it.
havent played 3 yet and despite the ending this franchise is alot better than cod i can tell you that much so yea ill pick up ac4

i love history soÂ
Nope. I'm youtubing the game to see if i like it. I should have done that with AC3. Thank god I rented it instead of buying it day one.

I think that another Assasin' s Creed game is just too much. The franchise has served its purpose.
Instead I' d prefer them to make a whole new game(with new story, characters etc) set in the Caribbean or elsewhere. A pure pirate themed game(maybe an RPG preferably) - to my knowledge there are not any similar games out there. The last decent one I played was Bethesda' s Pirates of the Caribbean like 10 years ago.

Sid Meier's Pirates! is a fantastic game that you should check out!
i find it funny that people complain that ac is a yearly release but if it were halo or gears youd be all over it like a fat kid on cake

This right here. Too many releases and not enough downtime between them. Same reason I had no excitement for Halo 4, GoW Ascension, Gears Judgment and others.

Super excited for it. I am a Nintendo exclusive console owner (that might change this generation if third party support does not pick up for the Wii U and the Playstation 4 receives more releases that I am looking forward to like the PS# did) so I have never played and Assassin's Creed game before. I thought about picking up ACIII but then IV was announced so I figured I would wait. Looks awesome.

Says who? Every annual franchise I can think of gets a good amount of hate. If Halo or Gears did that I believe the same thing would happen for them.Â
Wasn't a big fan of 3 but I have been wanting a good pirate themed game for a while now, so I may check it out (as long as they don't force hours upon hours of ship combat, I hated that in AC3). Plus I'll likely add it to my early PS4 library.
I was never interested in the Assassin's Creed games to begin with. Why would I buy the 4th game in said franchise if I didn't buy the first three?WhiteKnight77i wasnt eithe runtil i bought ac1-brotherhood used and i have to say it is a great franchise. i havent played 3 yet but i will before i get 4. i know people still complain about ac3's ending ( 2012 doomsday scenario) but how can anyone argue that playing in a time of history isnt fun?
the fist is great in regards to story. the game play is in fact clunky . it is fixed in the other titles thoughHaving played none of the previous titles, I think it's safe to say no. I own the first, just haven't reached it yet.

[QUOTE="Namgis"]the fist is great in regards to story. the game play is in fact clunky . it is fixed in the other titles though The gameplay is clunky, but you get out of the game what you're willing to put into it. It's more like the old Hitman games in that there are usually a couple of different paths to your targets, but in order to plan an assassination properly you need to gather and analyze intel, sift what's useful from what is just ambient info, inspect area maps to determine the best path to your target without drawing attention. When you compound all that with the modern day timeline conspiracies and the Truth side story, it is an amazing experience that only multiplies exponentially by the end of Assassin's Creed 2. But if you just play to get from one assassination to the next and all the way to the end, you'll likely get bored and never finish it.Having played none of the previous titles, I think it's safe to say no. I own the first, just haven't reached it yet.

Is it crazy I have yet to play Assasin's Creed 1 since I have been without my 360. Man these sequels came out fast!!!
Nope. I stopped playing Gears after 3 and Halo 4 is the last Halo I'll play. ill believe it when you refuse to buy halo 5 wich will be mentioned at e3 people say oh i wont buy it but they still do. me personally i tried halo it just isnt my kick at all besides im not even a big shooter fan honestly[QUOTE="ThaneKrios28"]

what series isnt milked? you make it sound like this is the only franchise...................The Assasin's creed series has gone beyond the novelty factor. Ubisoft are just milking it.
naju890_963
no, not really. i played the first and didn't like it. i've heard the 2nd was a big improvement but i don't want to bother with an ever increasing mountain of games to catch up with the series. LoG-Sacramenthonestly you dont even have to play brotherhood at all revelations however felt like a expansion for ac2 since it did tie up alot of things
After last night, I am. They had issues with the demo, but it looked good and had some tight gameplay.

I'm not, it just seems like there is little innovation from AC3. I'm really not interested in the pirate theme.Granny_SpankedI feel similarly... AC3 was one of the worst disappointments of all time, but If AC4 has more emphasis on the boat battles, I'm down for that. That stuff was awesome. I will buy it, but I'm not as pumped as I used to be. They really screwed the pooch with that alien cliffhanger.
