Part of this is to vent and the other part is to give myself super fly props.

I just spent an hour and a half trying to get the "Mile High Club" achievement on Call of Duty 4before finally getting it about five minutes ago. I've never really sat down and tried for it before because I've heard how insane it was but it was the last achievement on the game that I didn't have so I tought I'd try and wrap it up before MW2 hits. As satisfying as it was to get, that was the most nerve racking 25 point achievement I think I've ever tried to get. My controller almost went out the window a time or two. At least I can put it out of my mind now...I'm sure just in time for an equally as difficult one in the upcoming sequel.

Anyone else have yet to get this supremely frustrating achievement?

I''m 980/1000 for COD4, but I'd rather not try for this insane achievement.

Yes, man it was tough but so enjoying. Interesting to see so many tactics work in so little room.

Congratz, took me hours to do so as well when I got it.

I feel like the final campaign on veteran was harder than Mile High though...

You know I'm not entirely sure. I was able to get through the plane and kill the terrorist with a head shot at the last possible second, but I'm not sure if I got the achievement for it or not.

As long as you waited until the screen faded to black after you jump out of the plane, you should be good.

You can bet your ass that damn mission frustrated the hell out of me. Controller almost became friends with the TV more times than I can count.

In the end it was worth it though. Coming off that rush of getting the mission done right and seeing and hearing the achievement was cool.

I never got the MHC achievement. I need to start practicing for MW:2 anyway, maybe I'll give it a try.

Yup. It was especially sweet for me since it was the last one I needed for the game.

Mile High Club isn't as prestigous as some make it out to be. I found some of the sections of the main game to be a lot more difficult than the Mile High Club.

I totally agree. Some parts of the game took me a hell of a lot longer than 2 hours to beat but it's just the time constraints put on you in that level that really make it tough.

I did but I didn't get anything because CoD4 for the PS3 doesn't support trophies.

I can beat on Hardened like I was playing it on Easy. But as soon as I go onto Vetren I get torn up. Prolly will never get, but every so often I try a few times.

Seeing how I had it on PC, achievements don't apply. What exactly did you have to do for it on the xbox version?

Beat the epilogue mission on veteran difficulty. It's a pain.

Yeah, I agree. I spent alot more time on "No Fighting in the War Room" and "One Shot, One Kill" than MHC.

The thing about MHC is, that, if you can memorize where enemies spawn at, you can gun them down pretty effectively with the MP44 and Mini-Uzi, respectively.

Yeah, I have that achievement. It was a frustrating one, especially since I did "No Fighting in the War Room" right before it. It's one of the most rewarding achievements though, not in gamerscore, but in satisfaction.

This. I didn't spend an entirely long time on the MHC, but it was really luck more than anything. "No Fighting in the War Room" was excruciatingly painful for me, especially when a glitch made some of the essential NPCs disappear halfway through several times.

No Fighting in the War Room was just such a punishing level on the higher difficulties. Just a brick wall. Haven't gotten Mile High Club. (at least i don't think I have). It was hellish beating it on Hardened. I don't even want to imagine what it's like on Veteran.

Ya know...the "other" mile high club just doesn't seen like it would be as much fun and probably equally as frustrating to attempt. Haha!

Yeah I got it not too long after the game came out. What I hated is that when I finally reached the hostage I accidently shot the hostage, twice. :(

I guess I'm one of the lucky few who got in fifteen minutes. I did fail about twenty times though. I hated trying to get it, but it was worth it.

I tried for an hour or two to get it and never did, so I just gave up. Not worth the frustration to me.

I agree with many of the other posters: the "Mile High Club" achievement and Call of Duty 4 in its entirety were some of the best times I've had on my 360. The achievement for me was really difficult to get; I remember formulating all these crazy strategies and patterns to get through the map. Really good times, man.

I got it. I think it was a mixture of luck and strategy, but I got the headshot when I got there. So happy when that Achievement popped up.

I'm not going to argue this point with you because I always try to respect oither people's opinions but it really doesn't make a lot of sense to say that games which haven't even been released yet are garbage. There's no way anyone can know that. COD2...pretty good. :)
