Are you planning on ever selling/getting rid of your legacy collection?

For me, that's a definite hell no. My old consoles and games will follow me to my grave. Also I want to keep them so that if I ever have children they'll know what good games are and appreciate the classics.

Never. I remember when I was 6, I got the N64 with Mario Kart. Even though I don't actually many games for it (just Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, and Mario Golf), I played countless other classics at friends' houses, and it is the system that started my gaming hobby. Because of it, I've went from driving the wrong way in Mario Kart to noscoping people in Halo 3. I'll never forget the N64, even though it is just sitting in some closet somewhere in the house.

I sold or gave away all my NES, Gameboy, SNES, Jaguar, Saturn, Genesis, 32x, etc games and systems... I sold my PS1 but luckily kept the games.

That was probably my biggest regret.

and to the TC, NO WAY you'll see me selling any of my legacy consoles or games. I sold a few of my NES and Genesis games when i was much younger and I regret it. fortunately I still have all my consoles and most of my old games (plus a ton more that i've bought). Nowadays I continue to add games and consoles to my collection here and there. I honestly think I'll put my game collection in my will. If something happened to me, my brothers and friends would definitely want my games.

I just sold my whole collection. Well everything older then 10 years..... You can look on my info page under FunkyHeadHunter. I had many consoles and many games.

I now have everything on Emulators. It saves much room and time and its easier for me. My kids will always get to play the oldschool games, but on PC now..:)

Prolly not. I just plan to let my kids play the classics.

People sell my **** on me all the time anyways. I'm sick of it, but I can't stop it.

It got to be so much of a pain for me always moving around and having to lug boxes and boxes of videogame junk. Like the 50 pound ball of power wires interwoven with 20 pounds of rf adapters. That and sometimes having to sleep in my car.

I gave my games to people I thought could cary on the legacy. As for me now I collect computers. My long term goal is to build 4 or five arcade boxes and rig up the computer inside to boot up windows xp and then organize the shortcuts on the desktop for all the old stuff. They must be powered by a wind turbine with a batery storage and power inverters. For those power outage days when all you can do is read a book I will fire up Donkey Kong.

It only takes an 800 megaherz microprocessor to run a super Nintendo emulator without any other junk installed. I have piles of those parts, all I need are a couple good old hard drives and to buid a cabinet. I'am a good woodwork and self proclaimed computer engineer.
