Since we've already seen the trailer for Brotherhood, (the best trailer for any game that has ever been created), who's going to buy this game?

I rented and beat AC 1 and 2, but I am going to buy this because of the multiplayer, and just because after looking at the trailer it's a must to own this game.

So leave a comment and your thoughts about AC "3".

I don't know if I'll get it. The developers might have put too much emphasis on multiplayer this time around that single player might be lacking in terms of how long it'll be and how much focus they put into the storyline. That's okay. It's not Assassin's Creed 3. I play the Assassin's Creed series for the single player, but the multiplayer might not be too bad. We'll just have to wait and see.

It doesn't leave off where AC 2 ended? I thought it did because I want to know why the person in that tomb place said Desmond instead of Ezio and all that.

I'm done with AC. Didn't enjoy 2 much more than 1, and the fact that they have 2 new AC games on the horizon announced less than a year from AC2, I'll pass...

Thanks for the reply.

If you deeply analyze Assassins Creed 2 and its hidden stories, you can make your own speculations as to the future of Assassins Creed.

It looks likes the whole animus aspect will be taken out, there will be no more memories by Desmond, just present time now.

It seems as if Desmond will become an Assassin and try and find these temples to stop the destruction of the world on December 21st, 2012.

It ties together with the fact that Adam and Eve stole the Piece of Eiden, which is the "Forbidden Fruit" they stole.

It really depends on the feedback the game gets. I might rent it at first.

I'll get it, but I'll most likely wait for a price drop. It'll probably drop in price pretty fast to be honest. AC2 did.

I am at the very least renting it. Whether or not I buy it will depend on reviews and how well they can pull off multiplayer. I really hope they don't screw over single player for a gimmick.

i played the first game, loved it, didnt really see any problems other people were talking about, played the second game feverishly till i got the very last achievement, now its like just the name of the series gets me excited, i dont understand why people are dogging it, they dont say no to annual brainless shooters for COD series ? so what am i missing here ? i love the stories, atmosphere, history, kickass parkour and sword play in these games, honestly i am more excited for this game compared to ghost recon. :D

I haven't played the first two, so not right away I guess. I've always wanted to get into the series, and they both can be found for cheap now, but everyone kept telling me how repetitive the first game was... I'll get to it someday though. Looks fun.

well red dead redemption is extremely repetitive as well, that didnt stop millions of people from playing that game, dont put too much stock in others opinion, i believe AC1 demo is up on XBL, give it a try, it may be a tad repetitive, but the atmosphere, visuals, music, it provides is something very rare and distinctive.

Hm I'll see if there's a demo on the PSN too. I saw the first one for 15 bucks, pre-owned, might be worth getting.

i dont remember seeing it on PSN, i have both consoles, its def available on XBL, but if you wanna buy it, and if you shop online, glyde has a used copy for 11$ shipped, just remember the stories kind of tie in, you would wanna play the first 2 games if you are considering the 3rd one.

I plan on one day purchasing 'Brotherhood' but to be honest, I'm still waiting for Assassin's Creed 2 to come down in price before I can play that one.

The reason why millions of people are playing RDR is very simple - it's just another GTA done in a Western universe. As if they ran out of ideas....

I don't see the big deal about Red Dead Redemption. Grand Theft Auto was so much better.

But my favorite action/adventure games are the whole Assassin's Creed series and Uncharted 2. I can't decide which one I like better.

I have to disagree. I quit GTA IV halfway thru because it was same old same old. RDR has many different options/strangers/hunting/ect... Rockstar's best game since GTA SA IMO.

It's still quite bit more than that in Australia. I have seen used AC2 copies for still around $60+. I will buy it when I see it for $40 or under.
