Today I though I would list a few systems that many may not know exist. I ask you tell me, if any, which of these consoles you would like to know more about. Now without delay: Commodore64 Game System(GS): A lot of people don't know about the console freindly version of the commodore 64 competing against the Master System and NES. There are a few canadian versions of the system, but most of them were only released in europe. But they have a great library of exclusive and fixed up commodore 64 games, and run really well. Nec PC-FX: A successor to the Turbografx-16, with quite an interesting library of games. A lot can be played without Japanese knowledge and a few games have English language options, and include ports of a few native PC games as well. Not exactly a "shooter console" like its brother however. Adventure and Action Adventure take the titles for this console. Atari Lynx: A handheld with a large library of games with tons of third-party support which at the time Atari was lacking. But the advertising made it hard for most anybody outside of bigger cities, to know much about it. Especially out the country. But it has a great library of games and is considered ahead of its time with great graphical effects. The original version is not very portable, and while the 2nd version is still big but more portable. With over 100 official games released. Watara or Quickshot SUPERVISION: The Supervision was released to compete with the Gameboy, and came in 2 different versions. Technically it was more powerful than the Gameboy, and the company was able to get people to distribute the system. Although lack of correct marketing and lack of big name third party support like Activision and others, hurt the system and no one tried to push it. Although it gained quite a decent library of games interestingly enough after being a commercial failure, so it's no small doughnut. FM Towns Marty: The first 32-Bit system that was released when other companies were dominating the japanese market. But the system is full of games playable without japanese knowledge. Uses CD media, and could be called the Japanese version of the Jaguar in terms of library. Not many games were released for the console, but they are quite a few gems in there.
