This is whats been floating in my head for quite a while. Why do companies send out cheap poorly made games that they themselves should know are poorly made? I want to become Game Designer but for fear of maybe an idea that sounded good on paper, that becomes a piece of crap on a disk, why do games like these happen?

The thing about games is that there's more to it than coming up with a good idea. A lot of people clearly overlook the mathmatical variables, effort, budget, and time it takes to make a good game. Look at how long Halo 3, Fable 2, SSBB are taking to be fully complete. They don't just do that to drive the consumers crazy y'know? When I went to design school, I learned a lot about video games. I found out how many half hearted people go in thinking they're going to create something great and end up adding to the trash heap of crappy games.

Hey don't underestimate yourself. If you are willing to put the time and effort into it, you'd be a great game designer! It's like anything else you do. What you put into it is what you'll get out of it. If you want to succeed you gotta put you're whole heart into it! Corny but true!
