I got a gamecube recently, and my friend told me about BG DA. I'm a big fan of D&D, and it sounded very interesting. He has the Xbox version, is it worth getting the GC version, even with its technical deficiencies? I don't have any other systems besides GBA and PC, so I can't get either of the other, better versions.
If you don't have access to a PS/XBox then BG: DA on the GC is still an acceptable alternative despite the issues it had, it's not unplayable by any means. Keep in mind BG: DA is largely a straight forwardcombat oriented dungeon crawl, it has nothing in common with the PC Baldurs Gate games besides the name. It's definitely a game you have to judge on it's own merits, if you go into it expecting something similar to it's predecessors in name, you'll be incredibly disappointed.

Hes right for the most part, but it is one of thee best Action/RPGs that the Gamecube has to offer. I will pick it up if I had no option of an Xbox or PS2.
I have no knowledge of technical difficulties on the other consoles, but I do have the game for the Xbox. It is a great game that is a lot of fun and provides hours of entertainment. It also has co-op, which might be something of interest. I liked the game, and I would recommend it.
