Its a great game, but if the guy is saying it's rare as a justification for the price don't buy it. Offer him like 8 bucks instead. It is rare because they don't make them anymore, but anybody you know who had the game would probably just let you borrow it, its not like they're playing it.
Its a brilliant game and dare I say its better then the first in some ways...N64 just had some of the best games ever made and Banjo Tooie is one of them.

Ten bucks is a lot of money for some of us. ..10 bucks...are you serious? yes TC get it, thats a good deal No, I was making it up. We can all afford to buy anything we all want. I'm serious. I'm a college student with no job. I therefore have no income. Ergo any price for nearly anything is expensive. I generally don't buy any games if they are more than $8, and even then I only buy them every couple of months.
it is really fun, and it was challenging when i played it in elementary school but nowadays i think it'd just be a good game for memories sake. i might pay $10 for it cuz of sentimental value
Banjo Tooie is honestly the gretest platformer ever made, it basicly perfected the open ended platformer genre that Mario began. Its sad that no one seems to ever mention this game, many of the greatest games were released at the tail end of the N64/PS1 era.
