Just the other day, I made a thread talking about how I couldn't wait to finish Dead Space because it was getting so intense and I was tiring of the combat, but low and behold, I started a second run through right after I finished it. It's just an incredible game. So what games have you beaten again recently, and what compelled you to play through them again?

Well, the only game I've beaten more than once in a short time recently was Gears 2, once on normal then once on hardcore, now my friend and I are getting aggrivated with it on insane. Oh yea, I beat Saints Row 2 a while back but bought my bro a PS3 and SR2 for him, we are about 50% of the way done with his game and I intend to finish it again soon.
Too many good games out right now in my opinion to limit yourself to replaying one game, even if it's really good.
Actually I just finished Dead Space and im starting my second playthrough as well lol. I also recently replayed Grand Theft Auto IV in anticipation of the coming DLC, other than those two games though you would have to go back a couple years to get to games I played more than once. 95% of everything I play is a one time thing only, some rare games have that magic formula though.
Gears 2 at least 6 times...my own achievements..then helping people get theirs. Left 4 Deads scenarios quite a few times. Thats really it of recent...I'm playing Mass Effect right now which encourages repeated playthroughs..so ill be doing that.
There was a game called Zone of the Enders for PS2...it was only like a 3 hour game...i beat that game everyday for a week straight i was so addicted to it. And i beat ZOE2 3 times.
Dead Space. Beaten the game three times already. I was skepticle when I bought it but when I started playing, I just couldn't stop. Dead Space is probably one of my most favorite games out of 2008.
Hehe yeah man insane wasn't really that hard I did most of it solo. Just takes practice and patience. The hardest part for me was on the Hive where you have enemies comming from the front and behind and Maulers/Blood mounts/Grinders start running after you not to mention those little bastards clawing at you forcing u out of what little cover you have. Was intense but I felt so good after I got past that part. So on topic Gears2 last game I beat more then once although Im replaying Viking again just to get 1000/1000 because I was so close after 1 playthrough.
Going through Mass Effect for the 3rd. time, Oblivion for the 3rd. time but it's the first one in a console and I'm doing Guitar Hero II on expert if that counts..
Fallout 3. I started my second playthrough as an evil chick. Unrelated, but I always find it easier to be evil in a game when I'm playing a female character. I figure it's a combination of me not relating as much as I would with a male avatar and also the perfect blueberry and pancake blend of an evil witch female. Also Little Big Planet, but replaying that game doesn't feel like replaying, especially as you can jump around from level to level that you've already done.
Order of Ecclesia (Normal then hardmode) Crysis Warhead (my performance went up about 20 fps for some reason so I decided to play it again) Metal Gear Solid 4 (for like the 5th time) Little Big Planet (trying to get 100% completion)
Ever since first playing Castlevania: Curse of Darkness back in May, I've played the game about four times now (only beaten it twice, once with Hector and once with Trevor but am nearly finished my 100% map/item run and am currently in the process or my Crazy run). Considering all the games I have to play, I've put a ton of time into it. Not to mention the crap-load of times I've gone through various versions of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
well not very lately...i beated Darkwatch on xbox like in every difficulty lvl...it was pretty good..(for it's year) also Halo 1...that was the only game i am never Getting bored playing it again and again
In the second half of the last year i beat MGS4 5 times, DMC4 6 times, Gears 2 1.5 times, COD4 2 times, NG2 1.9 times (stuck at the last boss on Mentor). Still struggle to finish GTA4 though. i think i'm 70% into the game, hopefully in the near future i'll finally do it. It's really becoming a chore.
