Best Classic Sonic Game????

what was everyones favorite sonic game for the genesis?? lets see what people have to say.

Mine: Sonic 2

I also think that Sonic 2 is the best Sonic game for the Genesis. Not only is it graphically far superior to the first one, it is also much more challenging in my opinion. The only thing that always drove me crazy is how Tails used to run into the mines in the bonus stages... that fool. :x

I have to add that I never really got into Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles... so there's still a slim chance I might like them even more, but at this point Sonic 2 is my favorite.

My favorite Sonic game would have to be Sonic X-Treme for the Sega Saturn. It was so cool how they brought Sonic into 3D in 1996!Da_Banker

Mines was 3&Knuckles, but the best Sonic classic game on any console is fo sho Sonic CD.

I would have to say Sonic 2 and 3.
