My top 3 favourites games of all time were on the SNES,
Super Mario World
Link to the Past
Chrono Trigger
plus dozens of other amazing games. the SNES is by far the clear winner for me, though no system in existance is "bad" persay.
yep, my fav was the SNES too for games like
Zelda a Link to the Past
NBA Jam
Street Fighter 2
F-Zero
Super Mario World
Chrono Trigger
Killer Instinct
Donkey Kong Country
Secret of Mana
etc, etc, etc
oh sorry thought this was a what was your first system forum. Well my fave console would be the PS2Mage_7
It was but there was already an offcial topic so TC changed this one.
I'd say N64 was the best. A lot of amazing games. Just not enough great and good. lol
Definitely N64, no contest. I've spent countless hours with that thing and I still play it. My brother, sister, and I used to play multiplayer on it almost daily. Many of its games are still some of the best around. My favorite N64 games:
and the list just goes on...
SNES. Anyone who says otherwise...*does dramatic glasses removal* DOESN'T LOVE PUPPIES :P! Or gaming, pick your poison :P.Video_Game_King
C'mon...the PS1 was good competition to the SNES. I personally enjoyed the PS1 slightly more, as I've already said, but the SNES was a close second.

I can't speak for the PS1 as I've never played it. However, that was really a period of transition for most companies (2D to 3D), which resulted in ugly games (especially due to Sony's early anti-2D feelings). The SNES had great looking games. The closest thing to it, I think, is the PS2 (although I do want to see how the Wii finishes things, just so the PS2 may go to #3, mabye).

Well, then, I'd feel a bit foolish calling the SNES the best system if I'd never played a system as groundbreaking and awesome as the PS1. Find a place where you live that sells PS1 games and get some to play in your PS2. If you're into RPGs, I'd suggest the Final Fantasy games. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is also excellent considering your sig reminds me of Castlevania.

I'd want to play the PS1, but I don't want to use eBay yet (must find things out about selling), my local Blockbuster went out of business, and the two GameStops sell nothing below PS2 (except Game Boy games on display behind glass).

Are you interested in playing any of the Final Fantasy games?

Of course. Even the ports. Actually, I'm interested in all of the bigs games, really. Why? I've drained many other consoles of them. Why let one be spared :P?

I am pretty sure PS1 emulators are legal as long as you have a real CD to play it with. I played FF7 (Ps1 disk) on an emulator on my PC and it ran better than it does on the PS1.
SEGA Saturn.SmashBrosLegend
Really? Because it was ahead of its time? I'm the only person I know personally that owes it.

Not registered on Amazon. Besides, I'm gonna play them another way (leaving it at that).

You don't need to register on Amazon to buy off of Amazon, but if you're gonna play them a different way, then I suppose that information is worthless to you.
NES - Two of the best games of all time, SMB and SMB3. Still fun to play plus got me started in console gameing. The SNES had SMW and Mario Kart that were two of my favorites, the multiplatform games I usually got for Genesis for some reason. Sonic on there was always fun too. The 360 does get more use then any of my systems ever did though, but I still pick up the classics too.
It is easily the SNES for me.
Super Mario World
EarthBound
Chrono Trigger
Super Mario Allstars
Street Fighter II
Super Mario RPG
Super Metroid
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Mario Paint
Secret of Mana
Donkey Kong Country
etc.
There's a reason it's known as the golden age of gaming. My second pick is a tough battle between the N64, PS1, and PS2.

although Playstation Emulators are easy to find, ROMS are not, legal or otherwise, plus they are often riddled with problems. they are not stable like SNES or NES ROMS. I would reccomend just buying the games.
