out of Ps2, gamecube and Xbox, which was your favorite and what games you loved most on that system etc ?

The original XBox for me. I loved the hard-drive feature. No more memory cards and having to delete saved games to make room for others. Plus I could put my music library on there and use it in a few games I owned as the soundtrack or just use it as my personal jukebox. Plus it pushed the best graphics of the all the consoles last-generation and had a DVD-player built-in. And it had XBox Live. After SegaNet died, and before Sony or Nintendo had it's networks, XBox Live was the online console network.
But more than any of that, I enjoyed the library more than anything. I'm a BIG Western RPG fan, and XBox, more than any other home console (other than PC of course) has delivered in that department:
Great XBox Exclusives:
Great XBox Multiplatforms (which the XBox versions usually were the best version)
Man, all three of these consoles are great. Excellent libraries are available for all of them, and they were very different too - Xbox is probably the best from a tech standpoint, but I think all three systems are completely essential.
If I had to choose one, it'd probably be a PS2 due to its massive library of games and backwards compatibility with PSX games (which also has a massive library).
ps2 because of all those excelent rpgs an other awesome games and also because I like dualshock better than xbox controller
By far the PS2. There has never been a console with so many incredible games made for it, nor as diverse of a library. Personally, there are only about 20 to 30 games on the XBOX and Gamecube respectively that I have any desire to own/play, however with the PS2 I currently have over 120 games and that collection is growing weekly because there are just so many awesome games to own.
The runner up to the PS2 last gen was the Dreamcast for me. Although it was a very ephemeral console, it had one of the best libraries, again, of any console ever released and still holds up as one of my favorite consoles of all time.
PS2, closely followed by the Gamecube. Favorite console of last gen and favorite console of all time.
Dreamcast- playing the Arcade port of 3rd Strike/MVC2 with the official DC arcade stick with all my buds was the best of times
I don't know how you could argue against the PS2, as the Xbox was abandoned pretty quickly, and the Gamecube suffered from lack of quality games.
PS2 as the best overall system, though Gamecube also had some top-notch exclusives not found on any other game platforms....but I'd still say PS2 was the best console overall from last gen for the following reasons....
- Great range of exclusives not found on any other gaming platform from that gen....games like Ico, SoTC, GoW, GoW II, MGS3, Okami, Final Fantasy X, Jak series, Ratchet & Clank series, Kingdom Hearts, etc.
- Solid range of multiplatform titles, though not as good looking as other systems, they were there....and in some cases, like RE4 during that generation, the PS2 version had extra content that actually made it the better overall version.
- Handily doubled as a DVD player without any extra kit required, which came in handy in the earlier years.
- Lasted the longest and still had AAA games like Okami and God of War II being released for it into 2006 and 2007...well after the other two consoles had been pretty much been abandoned.
dreamcast
the last true hardcore gameconsole. full of arcade masterpieces. very original games we don't see anymore like shenmue, jet set radio. it also had the best racinggames of any system, not to mention greatest party console of all time as well. me and friends still play all the great 4 player games like rush 2049, propeller arena, virtua athlete, chu chu rocket etc

The sports games were better as well. It was really the quote/unquote hardcore console console of that generation, in that it took the multiplayer love from Goldeneye and expanded on it ten fold. The community surrounding some of the earlier xbox live games were some of the best I've ever encountered--pc included. Top Spin, Halo2--these were new experiences--and people played to win, not for some bragging rights/gamerscore.
Ps2 mainly because it was the home of that gen's RPG's for the most part, although for hardware reliability I love my Gamecube. 11 years running and has never let me down.
