Killer 7. The ending video for that game was really odd, yet it made sense in the context of the game and really expressed the eternal battle between two evenly sides, whether based on morals or on culture.

The entire game itself was amazing really, a real work of art. If more games were like Killer 7, video gaming would already be acknowledged worldwide as an art form.

Killer 7 had so many loose ends, even Suda51 admits it. I had to consult an FAQ in order to understand the story. The fact that the manual and game box tricks you into thinking the wheelchair guy is the main character doesn't help either. Also, it is arguable that the story only twists toward the very end of the game, making the middle portion rather inconsequential. Still, I won't deny it: that game had a very disturbing and shocking ending.

Hmmm...best game ending? Earthbound is definitely one of them. Metal Gear Solid 1 & 3 hadgood endings, but 3 was depressing, and I don't like being depressed at the end of a game. MGS1, on the other hand, had an uplifting message at the end: don't worry about what will happen to you in the future, and just live. Sidenote: is it just me, or did the first Metal Gear Solid have the best voice acting of the three?

Heh, I saw the whole thing on adultswim.com. Most of it was quite funny, some of it was boring, and the end sucked.

Killer7's entire final (non-bonus) level was like one long ending FMV, and it was 'mindblowing', so that gets my vote until I can think of anything better.

FFVIII for me by far (but then again it is my favourite game).

I'm a huge MGS fan, but I actually thought the ending for MGS3 was good not great.

WCIII: The Frozen Throne had a pretty sweet ending, with the clash between Illidan and Arthus.
