FFVI easily.................while the others were great, VI is special. Best characters, best story, best themes, best villain, best soundtrack, best moments...the best.
For me it's FFX. I didn't get to play FFVII until well after it came out and by that time the game had aged so poorly that I couldn't bring myself to get through disc 1 much less beat the whole game.
There is no best FF game.. but the ones I enjoyed the most are.
FF9, FF7, FF Tactics, FF6, and FF4-5
Also... FF8 is by far the worst out of all of them. It's the only one I refuse to replay because the draw system, and the way summonings work is so terrible. Not to mention the story is really pathetic.
Why do you guys make threads like this when most people are aware that you don't care what our favorite is? Besides, you already know that most will say FF7 without even thinking, just to hop on to the bandwagon.
But, since I'm bored, I'll tell you my favorites. :D
