Resident Evil 4.mastetofthedark
Resident Evil 4 wasn't a first-person shooter, it was a third-person shooter. Anyway, Metroid Prime was superb and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes was a phenomenal sequel. Get those two.

Oops, sorry. I get mixed up with FPS and TPS :P
first party=
metroid prime
metroid prime 2
giest
3rd party
timesplitters 2
timesplitters 3
night fire 007
goldeneye rogue agent
agent under fire
turok evolution
from russia with love
everythin or nothing 007-
later 2 are in 3rd person
serious sam ,
medal of honor frontline/rising sun /european assult
call of duty 1/2
freedom fighters-3rd person
The Metroid Prime games are not FPSes at all... they're in first person but the controls and pacing of the games are completely different.
007 Nightfire and Timesplitters: Future Perfect are the two best GC FPSes, in my opinion.
Best first person shooter games to have for the Nintendo Gamecube
Call of Duty Big Red One
Medal of Honor European Assault
Timesplitters Future Perfect
Goldeneye Rogue Agent
Turok
This, imo:
Not an exclusive but I've always seen it as some sort of a "unofficial successor" to GoldenEye.
I would not recommend Metroid Prime to someone who is exclusively looking for a FPS, otherwise you'd be disappointed honestly. Metroid Prime has shooting, but it does not focus on shooting, ergo it is not a First Person Shooter, that is just my opinion though.
I would recommend TimeSplitters 2 and Future Perfect, all you need
I'm about to plotz with all these suggestions of "From Russia With Love" or "Everything or Nothing" - ARE YOU PEOPLE HIGH??? There's NOTHING remotely "FPS" about those games, folks...
Go with:
Metroid Prime
007: NightFire
007: Agent Under Fire
TimeSplitters 2
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent
XIII
Call of Duty I & II
EDIT: The TimeSplitters games rock because they have extensive, easy-to-use map creator tools, and four-player MP/ Bot Match abilities.
The GC controller works FINE for FPS, I have no idea what all the flap is about, the "C" stick not working, etc., Kids Today...
Be aware that even though you cannot alter the control layout of "Metroid Prime" from inverted stick, it is one of the few games I have ever ascribed a Perfect Game monicker upon... True CLASSIC which, if you own a GC, is a MUST to own and play through. Get on it, get used to it, and find the MAGIC!!!
;)
I liked GC's library of FPS...Just wish they had that online optionLos9090
Dreamcast (SegaNET), then XBox Live was where the online console FPS were at that generation.

But I really have no numbers to go on, just going by memory. XBox had Halo 2, Doom 3, Counter-Strike, Brute Force, Unreal II, Unreal Championship 1 & 2, Soldier of Fortune II, and others.
