Seriously, there’s no best game ever. There’s your favourite game, and going by the 800 plus hours on BF4, it’s that for me.

Nethack. It's a turn-based rogue-like with minimal graphics. Fun in my book!

Battlefield 2 in it's prime 2006-08.

I have been playing sense the NES. Its an impossible task to pick just one as the best game.

Enjoy too many games to have a singular named entry. Will call games among best in a genre, even then it is a list worthy debate.

Streets of Rage 4, Bomber Games Remake, and Dragon's Crown for example, are in my humble opinion the best Beat em' Ups ever made. The order in how I would rank just those in a genre however would be impossible because I enjoy all three so much. Then add that TMNT: Shredders Revenge is looking very promising too.

And ontop of that I am a fan of so many genres, even just picking a best Monster Hunter game is a pain.

Too hard to pick just one. I'm going with Persona 4 Golden, The Witcher 3, or Metal Gear Solid. Skyrim was also really good as a 2011 WRPG. It kind of raised the bar imo

It's too hard to pick a single game... I could go with any one of these and be happy. It changes day to day though.

Breath of the Wild

@hrt_rulz01: Feel a lot of people dismiss Bioshock, though recall it being a very enjoyable game. Only real issue I had was the overwhelming amount of clutter scattered in every room, could at times be a nuisance.

Shooting was solid, level design was decent, and pacing well done. The tone as well was pitch perfect.

I played a few of those P.C. heavy hitters all at once; Crysis, Bioshock and Half Life 2 back-to-back. And Bioshock was the one I had the most fun playing, by a wide margin too.

*Portal is a great game, I personally like it more than Portal 2 but both excellent games.

@liamberan: Heroes of might and magic 3. Near perfection. Aged like fine wine, and it is as addicting as it ever was.

For years, decades even, I couldn't choose just one. Now, I have no problem. My favorite game of all time is Breath of the Wild.
