We all know it's about the personality, and not the looks. But that doesn't mean we still can't chose the best.
So in the entirety of video game history, which is the best looking console?
I really like the look of the Xbox One as I find it fits in very well with all my other electronic devices in my entertainment unit because it doesn't have all the curved or angular features typical of most consoles.

Yeah I don't mind the look of the Xbone either... PS4 also looks pretty cool.
I also like the 2nd gen version of PS3.

But it doesn't look unique, it looks like a vcr

I don't care, I really like the look of it.
@behardy24: PS2 Slim. sleek&Sexy just like sega genesis model 2! I dare you to find a console as small and powerful as a PS2! boy if i was born in the early 80's i would've soo brought a genesis!

Wow, I didn't realize how thin the slim was. I have a big PS2.
I pick the Nintendo Virtual Boy, for sure. It stood on a tripod and has an area to put eyes behind. The system itself was actually unhealthy to play for long periods because of the infrared technology and human eye limitations, but it remains futuristic looking.
I liked how the Dreamcast and original Sega Master System looked. I never really saw any other released console that appealed to me aesthetically. In computers I thought the Atari ST...the one that was geared more towards gaming, looked very slick.
Also, this unreleased, open source Linux based console looked pretty cool
And this one looked awesome
Some may not know it, but this is the Nintendo game system that was never released, It was before the NES and Famicom release.
@behardy24: Isn't it the smallest looking console ever? damn and given the library of games it has its easily the best console ever made.
I don't like most console designs IMHO they all just look like giant rectangular blocks, not very appealing to me a console should look sleek&compact.

I can't comment on the Xbox One since I haven't seen one in ages, but the PS4 looks pretty slick. My slim xbox 360 as well. Now looking at pictures of the older consoles, I agree they do all look like square and rectangular boxes. But I would prefer a functional console over a fancy-looking one.
@behardy24: I think Xbone was intentionally made to look like a VCR/Cable box because Microsoft was pushing for excessive TV integration.
AS far as PS4 goes it still looks pretty bland.. it needs a newer model with more ridges and curves.

I really like how the PS4 is slated in the front. I think that is unique look to it. I also like how half is glassy and the other half is your normal looking black box.
I don't think it needs more curves, it looks pretty okay unique already.
I just picked this up in the last week. This may be the best looking console, even moreso than Genesis model 1. I never owned one in the past--it is heavy, well constructed, and really feels premium.
I'd say the slim versions of the PS3, 360 and the PS4 and XBOne are all pretty on par. All four are sleek and stylish, and past that it's just preference over whether you like the bulky "powerhouse" look of the One (irony, I'd say) or a slimmer more unique design like the other three.
Actually after thinking this through I just thought handhelds can be considered consoles too, so if you include handhelds I'd go with the PSP.
1)Victor Wondermega RG-M1
2)Panasonic Q = Sega Genesis Model 1 + Sega Cd Model 1
3)GameCube Gundam Char LE = 60Gb PS3
Here's a sexy little beast from back in the day.
That was the Atari 2800, Atari's failed attempt to bring the 2600 to Japan. It was sold in America as the Sears Video Arcade II.
Another nice-looking piece of kit is the Panasonic 3DO model FZ-10
Lastly, you really can't have this discussion without talking about the TurboDUO. Such an attractive little machine.
