Mortal Kombat 2 is the only one thats actually a good game. Imo other than that they are all horrible
2 was my favourite, but I was a fan of 1 as well. I went off the series with 3 with the way the look and feel changed (for me at least). The new characters didn't grow on me either. I remember quite liking Trilogy but it was a bit of a character overdose. :P I probably remember 1 most fondly though as it was the first one I played and the first to make an impression (and the first time I encountered that stupid April Fools joke where you sellotaped a penny to the top of the cart - and yes I was dumb enough to fall for it). I really liked the visual style of the first one when I first saw it, and Goro was one of the coolest looking game characters I'd seen at that point. :P
I specifcally pick the SNES versions though, not the arcade. I don't know if I was just better at the game as a kid, but I remember actually succeeding at the games on the SNES. I haven't played it much, largely because I have SSFIV these days, but I find MK2 arcade port on the PS3 absolutely impossible after the 2nd or 3rd opponent, even on the easiest setting.
Baraka, Scorpion and Sub-Zero were probably my favourite characters from the time.
mortal kombat armageddon for the ps2 was the best in my opinion bcuz it has everyone from every mortal kombat game and plus you can make your own character which was sweetcrashhat69I did really like that one. :)
next to the original MK in the arcade, i'd say MKII for the 32x. better graphics and sound than the snes or genesis versions.
Mortal Kombat 2 on the SEGA GENESIS was my favorite. I knew everyone's moves and Fatalities/Babalities/Friendships and even the Fergalities which was the same for all characters. Mortal Kombat 1 was my second favorite and the first one I ever played. Mortal Kombat 3 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 was when I lost interest because they weren't nessessarily bad but I just couldn't get into them plus I was starting to get into Killer Instinct more. I loved the new characters in 3 though. The new one looks amazing because it looks like MK2 all over again. I'm getting it.
Mortal Kombat 2is an interesting game. A shame I could never win a single match due to the brutal AI.
I'm going to have to go with UMK3, I liked 2 when playing against others... But like Maxx said, the AI was cheaper than Street Fighter Online Players.... :)
