Goldeneye was the one that I had the most fun with, after that some of the wrestling games, but you had to have friends to play these games with, single player was so-so.
I had a lot of fun with Pokemon Stadium 2 when it first came out. Between the battles and the mini-games, it was a blast for me. Yes, I know that owning at least one of the GB Pokemon games dramatically enhanced the experience, but I still consider it my favorite non-Mario and non-LoZ game on the N64.
I'm going to have to go with Perfect Dark. Just so well done on so many levels. Conker's Bad Fur Day also comes close as, really, did anyone really expect this type of game at all? Just unbelievable humor, haha.
Look at the games people are saying. If you see the word "Rare" on the box, buy it. I played all of their games except the banjo series and they were amazing. They are the sole reason I purchased an X-Box.
I never played Banjo Tooie back in the day, but I was recently able to borrow it. And it is a masterpiece. One of the best platformers ever without a doubt.
