It was a decision with Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64, and Super Smash Bros. The best Nintendo 64 for me is probably Super Mario 64.
Great game, good times.
What game do you think is the best N64 game?

1.) Perfect Dark
2.) Conker's bad Fur Day
Honestly 2 Best games I've ever played. Perfect Dark for the reason was because I really like goldenye and I liked cooperative games. Perfect Dark had everything I dreamed of having in a video and played that hours on end.
Tie between Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark.
Although Perfect Dark was better than Goldeneye in most aspects, they were each absolutely incredible in their own special ways. They just don't make games like those anymore.
Ahh its too hard to pick! so many great games! well mine would be OOT, Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Smash Bros and Goldeneye. While Perfect Dark was pretty much superior to goldeneye, I still like goldeneye better.

The reason they don't make them like that anymore is because Goldeneye and Perfect Dark are terrible games by today's standards. The controls are so horrible that the games are practically unplayable. I loved goldeneye and other N64 shooters just as much as anyone else back in the 90's, but trying to go back and play them now is impossible.
IMO there's really no contest for the best N64 game. It was OoT. The gameplay and controls still hold up today and considering that it's widely considered to be the best game ever made it would be absurd to say that any other N64 game bests it (although if you don't consider OoT to hold that kind of status then I suppose you're free to name any other game as the best N64 game). Personally the only other games I would even think of considering for the title of best N64 game are Super Mario 64 (still a great game), LoZ:MM, and Banjoe Kazooie.
Banjo - Tooie
DK 64
Banjo - Kazooie
Diddy Kong Racing
Paper Mario, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, Mario Tennis, Pokemon Stadium 2 and so on
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is not only my favorite N64 game of all time, but my favorite game of all time. It had the best atmosphere, art design, music, and gameplay of any game in my opinion. And its world felt more realistic to me than Liberty City. I love that game.
Banjo Tooie, best game ever made on any platform imho
but my top 5 are:
1. Banjo Tooie
2. Perfect Dark
3. Super Mario 64
4. Donkey Kong 64
5. Conkers Bad Fur Day

Thats a bit of a stretch, I still play goldeneye and PD just fine. Never had any problems with them when they came out and still dont. Since I grew up with those games, I can still play them but give them to a new gamer who has played halo and such, he would find the games horrible most likely.Comparing them to todays standards is unfair, you have to judge them by when they came out. Please Log In to post.
