^ Yeah, FutureCop L.A.P.D. is a blast. So many destructible things to destroy in that game, and so many different ways to do it.

King's Field 1 & 2 are amazing action-RPGs that are completely unique, and 2 good reasons to own a Playstation.

Thunder Force V is a great shoot-em up with some very fun power-ups for your ship/plane thingie.

Apocalypse is a very fun over-the-top sometimes from-behind third-person view shooter starring Bruce Willis himself. Lots of different guns and fast-gameplay. Almost like Smash T.V. meets Contra.

don't think Id call Dino Crisis and Tomb Raider 3 underrated or lesser known , both were very popular (especially TR3)

anyways, Bushido Blade is one I would suggest, its a fighting game with a twist, very interesting, although it does have a few issues, its quite fun overall.

Bushido Blade was a great concept, but was poorly executed. The round are far too short, cutting your fun short way too soon.

I can certainly see where youre coming from on this, the rounds can either be too long or too short, though it quite a fun game I would say. I also think its not the greatest visually and frame rate wise, at least for a fighting game, its full 3D , but that very makes it look a little bland and the frame rate occasionally gets hurt (maybe its just the PAL version , I don't know)

"REEL Fishing", "R/C Stunt 'Copter". "REEL Fishing" especially. Greatest unsung game of the platform.

I haven't played a lot of Playstation 1 games, but I like Ehrgeiz a lot (for the arcade mode, most people like the dungeon mode) and Strider 2 is a fantastic game.

Star Trek Invasion is another Playstation game that slipped past the radars years ago and that game isseverely underrated and not everyone talks about that game anymore. I had one of those old Playstation demo discs and it had a playable level of Star Trek Invasion.

Oh and also The Grinch the Movie videogame is a guilty pleasure game that I happen to like. I loved playing the insanely long demo of it on a Playstation Magazine demo disc.

The Digimon games got a pretty bad rep, but I loved all of them when I was a kid. Honestly I still have some of them and I can still pop 'em in and they're fun. Digimon Rumble Arena was one of my favorites.

Largely, I think, because games like "Colony Wars" (made by the same dev as "Invasion") already existed, and did a slightly better job at it than what's presented under the Trek banner. I'm certainly not saying the game is no good or otherwise puting it down, I'll keep an eye out for it in the future at resales because I'm a Trek fan, but I think the game was overshadowed by "Colony Wars".

:)

Not sure if anyone has ever played X-Files, but it's definitely worth checking out, only because of the full motion video cutscenes and gameplay. Very fun as well (comes in 4 discs!) :P Only problem with it though, is the graphical interface seems to crap out occasionally and makes you wonder what the heck happened to the pointer? If you can ignore that, the gameplay experience is something you would enjoy, I feel that is :).

oh yeah that X-Files game for the Playstation. Good lord I remember seeing it a few times even at the pawn shop that I go to once every few months when I go out of town. That and the Rollcage racing game which is weird to me still even today.

Since we're still on the subject of that X-Files Playstation game, did they even film new scenes for that game or just use old footage from some episode?

All the Point Blank games (I think they released 1 and 2 on the PS). Awesome arcade shooter series.

I'm reading Wikipedia and it says the game takes place during the 3rd season, except for the fact your playing as Agent Willmore and not Mulder and Scully, you're looking for them in the game and why they mysteriously disappeared. Seems fun :) also I just realized this game was also released for PC! Awesome :P

Great game

To add though, I don't think Tactics Ogre is very well known in NA and EU.

Not sure if this is truly a lesser known game. Sure as hell don't remember any of my friends talking about it, but Gex was certainly a pretty fun game as I remember.

EndRhyme

I wouldn't call it lesser known. It was released on 3DO, Saturn, and PS1; and it garned a number of sequels on multiple systems.
