not at all it's a decent hack n slash with some RPG elements. you have to think before to fight. It is perfect to play with a significant other or a friend.

how about the warriors (the rockstar game) thats the best co-op ive ever played.

Star Wars Battlefront 2(it has co-op and versus galaxy conquest). Conflict: Desert storm 1-2/Vietnam are great FPS's for splitscreen. Can't really think of much else. if one of your friends has a 360 you should get Earth Defense Force 2017!!! That game is freaking awesome. its a FPS and you run around blowing away giant ants/spiders/robots with assault rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns, bazooka's, flamethrowers, turrents, grenades and you are constantly getting more powerful versions of weapons and you collect permanent health powerups that add to your health total. Its the funnest splitscreen game I've ever played. _AbBaNdOn

if you enjoy sports games I have had great fun playing friends with both Rugby 08 and FIFA 08

Twisted Metal: Black and Head-On: Extra Twisted Edition have split-screen/co-op modes, if you like auto-combat games.

SF:anniversary edition no doubt. I'd recommend MvC2 which is fun too buy you probably won't be able to find it cheap. SF:anniv edit will be a blast with your friends.
