Indigo Prophecy, story is incredible *minor spoiler* dies out near the end

Shadow of Destiny, the game that Konami secretly launched, and turned out to be one of the best games ever made that nobody ever knew about

^I will always preach these games as gems since I love repeating myself :P

Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts series, Katamri series, Battlefront series (except i had those on xbox instead, but same games), all the WWF/WWE Smackdown games, Medal of Honor series. My gaming libraries have always been pretty limited so there's a lot of games that could've been my faves if i ever tried them.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is the best, no doubt about it.
I also love Burnout 3. It just never gets old! 8)

FFX, Kingdom Hearts series, Silent Hill series, Onimusha series, Fatal Frame series, and TimeSplitter series. It's a shame nearly all these series are discontinued or aren't as good. :(

-King's Field: The Ancient City - I am the biggest King's Field fan you will ever meet. And this game more than lived up to my expectations. It's an action-RPG played from the first-person perspective, with a heavy emphasis on exploration. -God of War 1 & 2 - These games push the PS2 to it's limit, graphically, while immersing you in a bloody, violent gameplay mechanic that just flows. The story is epic, and I mean epic in the old Greek Mythology sort of way. Gods, mythical creatures, and betrayal await you at every turn. -Spider-Man 1 & 2 - Two completely different takes on Spider-Man games, but both end up being some of the funnest games I have ever played. Spider-Man 1 is a level-by-level endevour, but the web-swinging and battle-systems are so much fun you don't care it's level-by-level. Spider-Man 2 is an open-world game where you travel the city either following the main storyline of the Spider-Man 2 Movie, or you can choose small side missions or stopping random crimes. The open world's size rivals even GTA games. And the web-swinging mechanics are a blast to play with, just like the first game, but are done in an entirely different manner than the first game. -Star Wars: Battlefront 1 & 2 - So I'm not a big Star Wars fan, believe it or not. I am into comics and sci-fi, but other than the original 3 movies, not much more about Star Wars tickles my fancy. But these games are just fantastically made games, Star Wars or not. It's a mix between a first-person shooter with some strategy sprinkled in; except that it's almost as if you are playing as a single-soldier within a strategy game. Sounds strange, but it works VERY WELL. It's just a blast to play in an army of Strom Troopers storming some unsuspecting planet and battling rebel forces. -Guitar Hero Games - I can't play an instrument, at least not well. So this is the closest I get to being a rock-star, and it's a blast to play some of your old favorites from growing up, and in the hidden songs some of the best hard-rock coming out currently. -Drakan: The Ancient Gates - An awesome fantasy-action game with RPG-elements. It has your normal go to towns, gain quests, buy items, kill goblins and trolls and such. But it also has ariel battles where you control a dragon. Very awesome, and overlooked game. -Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance I & II - A great hack-n-slash action-RPG series. Loosely-based on D&D. Just tons of fun for those that are into games in the same vein as Diablo and Neverwinter Nights. -Resident Evil: Code Veronica X - A re-release from the Dreamcast, so I'm cheating a little here. But a lot of people didn't own a Dreamcast and should play this game. The best RE game on the PS2, IMO. It's played in the old RE style, but with a few added controls, a longer more in-depth story, longer gameplay, and improved graphics. -Resident Evil 4 - The Resident Evil series went in a new direction with this one. While I often long for the lumbering undead of the old games, this game is still an awesome game and ode to Capcom's ability to make a great game when they aren't re-releasing Street Fighter II for the umpteenth time. Awesome graphics, awesome story, and a very long and satisfying game. -Rygar: The Legendary Journey - An awesome action game with some RPG-elements sprinkled in. It is very similar to God of War: it has a similar battle-system and is also set in Ancient Greece with Gods as the driving force in the story. This was released long before God of War, though, and sadly is missing God of War's over-the-top violence. The violence aside, everything about it is top-notch. -Pac-Man World 2 - One of the best platformers I have ever had the privilege of playing. This game doesn't get the credit it deserves. It should be held in as high of regard as Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and Sonic the Hedgehog. This goes far beyond the dot munching mazes of the past, and presents Pac-Man in a fully-fleshed out adventure/platforming world. -The Old-School Collections - Namely Capcom Classics Collection v1 & v2, Mega Man Anniversary Collection, Mega Man X Collection, Sega Genesis Collection, and Sonic Mega Collection Plus. Those are the greatest old-school collections out there for the PS2. The greatest games on NES, SNES, Genesis, and Arcade are collected on to these. For the exact games on each, check em out on Gamespot's pages for em, but I can assure you that every one of them are well worth their price.

Metal gear solid 3. RE4 would be close if it was as good as the GC version, but it was a pretty slaughtered port.

Allstar Baseball 2005 was a favorite. It seemed a head of its time and sorta today other games haven't touched on it in some areas.

Personally, my favorite would be Shadow Hearts: Covenant.

But I suppose MGS3 was more fun overall, so idk.

PS2 has many great games and out of all the systems I've owned it's my favorite system. Therefore picking a "favorite" out of this great console would simply be an insult. However, I will say that the games I played the most were Socom 2 and GTA: San Andreas.

I'm a HUGE RPG nerd so it'll be mainly RPG. Persona 3: Most massive and innovative game ever. Talk to people at school in a sim dating style and then create your monster in a fusion set up and then like in pokemon, you go and kick some demons ass. All while shooting yourself to release your demon. That was epic, and the game is long to so it's worth getting. Tales of The Abyss: AMAZING GAME. The battle system was new and fun. The characters were some of the most amazing part of the story. The story was insane and the villain made you understand him but at the same time, completely insane. Great game. Those are the game I truly loved and will likely never forget it so I put them on this list.
