Just so you know FF10 is a ps2 game not a PS1 game.

FF7 hands down. If dat dont float ye boat, Suikoden or Resident Evil 1, 2, Nemesis, Silent Hill. Take ye pick.

Parappa the Rapper, Intelligent Qube, FFIX, Xenogears, Parasite Eve, Gran Turismo 2, Tekken 3, Chrono Cross, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Medieval, and I guess FFVII eventhough I think it's very overrated.

My all-time favorite PSX game until further notice is Crash 3: Warped. It may change after I'm done with Chrono Cross, Castlevania, and Metal Gear Solid, but Crash 3 is one of my favorite platformers, which is saying a lot.

hm...there are many great games...

metal gear solid and castlevania: sotn are one of the best :)

and resident evil series.

and here a few which are not very well known but great:

tombi (or tomba...depends on region...great 2,5 d jump n run adventure playing a kid with pink hair who fights against pigs)

einhander (one of the best sidescroller shooter ever.... 2,5 d ...2d gameplay and 3d cinematic camera movement)

future cop lapd (great third person action...including a very fun 2d player game)

alundra (great but hard action rpg)
