I honestly can't choose between Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal. I think I liked the levels on Going Gommando more but Up Your Arsenal had better weapons. Both were some of the best games on the PS2 no doubt, if I were ever to get a PS3 it'd be almost solely because of R&C.
On PS2? UYA. Overall, A Crack in Time is the ultimate Ratchet & Clank. I can tell I will be playing it over and over again trying to max out my guns. Its really awesome.
Definately Ratchet and Clank 3: Up your Arsenal. The controls of the first couple, while good, were a bit clunky and Up Your Arsenals were alot smoother in comparison. It also had a more fun and engaging story line. Personally I would say it has the best weapons of the series and the best upgrade for weapons and armor system. Not only that but... but how can you be passing the shelves in a gaming store and not crack up when you see the name, cmon.

crack in time is ps3. and thats not legacy platform..... but i have to vote for "up your arsenal" as the best ps2 R&C game. It's a great game.
I meant he bases "the best R&C" on a title thats not even out yet. It very well could be but I found the Tools of Destruction not as engaging as 3 and Gladiator.

No, I got it at Best Buy last Wednesday along with Tekken 6 and Borderlands. It is out and I have played the crap out of it.
Up Your Arsenal,it had great multiplayer,fun storyline,awesome guns,and it was jus so darn fun to play and beat countless times.I had a friend who beat it like 10 times or something,he absolutely loved the game.
Up Your Arsenal is the absolute best. Everything about that game was awesome, and features one of my favorite villains ever in Dr. Nefarious. ACIT will most likely surpass it when I get around to playing it, but UYA is definitely in my top 10 favorite games ever.
Definetly UP YOur arsenal, it was just nothing but pure and epic win, it was hilarious, had a deep involving story, so many side things to do, a lot of customizations and weapons, great graphics. the list of its plusses goes on and on
The second one (Going Commando? It's callled Locked & Loaded in EU), it brought more new ideas than the 3rd one. From what I remember anyway, I haven't played the older R & C's in years.

That one is my 2nd favourite. For me it goes 3, 4, 1, 2, followed by Size Matters then Secret Agent Clank. I haven't played any of the current gen versions yet.
