Best Resident Evil game and worst

The Resident Evil series kicks ass with all of the great games, I love playing all of the Resident Evil games. For me the best Resident Evil game will be "Resident Evil" for the gamecube, and my worst will be "Resident Evil Dead Aim". What are yours?

RE for the gamecube is called REmake, I'd say 2 is my favorite, 4 is the worst for me, and ive only played REmake other than those.

Best: Resident Evil 2.

Worst: Resident Evil 4. Watered down garbage.

Worst- Dead Aim

Best- REmake

Worst- RE4.

Side-Game- Survivor

Best: RE2
Worst: From what I hear it would have to be Gaiden
Worst that I've played: RE:Survivor
Worst in terms of what it did to the series: RE4

best in the series was the original game. after that, you knew what to expect. the first one though, it was an industry changing game. no other in the series can claim that.

i wont go into worst because i liked all the ones i played, i didnt play RE0 or the side games. as an RE game though i felt that 4 was the worst, although as an action game it was fantastic.

Wow I'm shocked to hear that RE4 was some of yours worst ones, I liked the game but changing the gameplay totally and story line was what made me make that the game one of my least favorite. Now RE5 is coming out and I'm kinda looking forward to it because I beat all of them so far and I'm continuing to do that.

the best: resident evil 4. this game had lots of action and a good story.

the only other resident evil game i have is code versonica for my ps2 which was good as well so i can't say what is worst.

I only played 1-4. I never play those "semi-series" in any game.

Best - tie between 2 and 4

Worst - 1. Didn't finish it. Got stuck somewhere near the end. Hehe.

RE4 is the best in the series. RE2 is my favorite of the old style. RE0 is the worst of the main RE games. Dead Aim is not a main line RE game so that shouldn't count, there were plenty worse RE side games like Survivor, compared to that Dead Aim was not bad.

I can't even say the bossfights were great. The last bossfight was a huge let down. The flower bossfight was very annoying and frustrating. The only bossfight I've enjoyed was Salazar's bossfight in Ada's mission.

Canon RE games: Best RE2 worst RE4. I love the setting, puzzles, story and characters in RE2. I didn't like the new engine in RE4 because it made it more of an action game and less of a survival horror. With none canon RE games: Best RE2 worst RE dead Aim or the one on gameboy but I haven't played that.

Favorite is RE 4, that was just amazing even if it was a big change in direction for the series. REmake would be my second favorite.

My favorites were the REmake and 4.

My least favorite was code veronica.

Canon RE games: Best RE2 worst RE4. I love the setting, puzzles, story and characters in RE2. Exactly.Only bosses which were fantastic snake from deep lake and that big troll.Fighting two trolls at once was pretty frustrating.

Best: Resident Evil 2 for Playstation

I found RE4 to be incredibly fun with enormous replay value. So it would take my top spot. But I realize it's a lot different from the old school Resident Evil games. So my favorite old school RE games are. . .

Favorite:RE2/REmake Both were incredibly fun to explore and play. But the REmake takes the cake for scariest RE game in my opinion. And the graphics were and still are pure eye candy.

Worst: The original Resident Evil. But hear me out. I've basically all of the RE games I've played. RE/RE2/REmake/RE4. So I don't think the original game was bad, just the least good.

The way Salazar would hone in on you like a speed demon before you even get a chance to reload always scared the crap out of me.

Its only whiny people that didn't like that the gameplay changed thats the only reason people put RE4 as worst.

Worst: Outbreak: rented for half a day, then convinced the guy it wasn't working and got something else.

If only Capcom were to remake RE2 just as they have with RE1. They should've done that instead of porting RE0 on the Wii. I'd personally give Capcom a million thank yous.

My favorite would probably have to be RE1, but best could possibly be RE 2.

When most people decry RE4 as more of a spinoff than a true numbered game it's because RE4 had little in common with the rest of the series. No zombies, no viruses, no evil corporation, no puzzles (unless you count "here's a metal object. now go stick it into the door three feet behind you" as a puzzle), no survival gameplay (you're a one man army for crying out loud), and the plot was completely insulated from the rest of the series. With it's one man army gameplay, "save the president's daughter!" plot, and Leon being some grizzled badass military/agent guy instead of a young, weak, and inexperienced cop, RE4 was an action shooter, not a survival horror game like the rest of the series. Typically when a game switches genres from the rest of the series its labeled as a spinoff.

For me the bests are RE original and RE2.

Worst for me is RE4, although its a great game, but not a great RE game. That´s not the spirit of the series or survival horror games.

Some places it called Resi evil rebirth,or japan Bio-hazard rebirth.Anyway Rebirth is my favouite and Survivor is the worse,man I was hoping for house of the dead with Resi evil,limbs flying everywere and heads popping.Shame

I agree. I'd like to add that the thing about having unlimited ammo because everytime you kill a ganado, you get extra ammo in return takes away the sense of fear because there'll always going to be ammo to shoot down ganados. The rooms in RE4 didn't feel creepy after killing all ganados. The music only played when there were ganados unlike in previous RE games,hearing the background music alone was scary!

@blades of athena: That fight was insanely hard for me because I wasted all my bullets on Krauser not to mention the the fight required some skill in timing.

@dvader: RE Outbreak's gameplay in outbreak 1 is the same as outbreak 2. Users saying they didn't like RE4 called an opinion.

wasn't too keen on 3, though i wouldn't call itte worst, that'd probs go to 1 of the gun survivor games or something

best is between REmake and the original RE2. thoguh if they ever REmade RE2, then that'd win

I didn't think it was bad. Just the least good. But when I think about it, I still liked it more than code veronica. So I change my answer for worst game to code veronica. The villains were boring and it was too damn hard.
