Best RPG/Adventure Game Of All Time

Paper Mario was definitely a lot of fun.

My favorite is still Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals for the SNES.

Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past is a close second.

Gothic 2. One of the most imersive and atmospheric RPGs i've ever enjoyed to play. You have no idea what a game is, if you have not played this.

TC are asking what are peoples favorite Adventure title or Action-Adventure title? Because both genres are very different from one another.

For me, it would be out of:

- Oblivion (PC)

- Landstalker (Mega Drive)

- Zelda: LttP (SNES)

- Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (PS1)

I actually like assassin creed series. After beating the game, they're so much stuff to try out. Like, killing people with spears, and breaking the spear into two to kill a brute.

RPG: Chrono Trigger

Adventure: Tie between Zelda 1 and Alttp

I'm not a huge fan of most RPGs, but KOTOR is my favorite.

Well no. Dreamfall is an action adventure. He's cool because he mentioned it at all. That game has an awesome story. Probably the best videogamestory I've ever experienced. I actually liked it quite a bit more than The Longest Journey 1.

Favourite RPG: KOTOR

Dreamfall had a grand total of 2 proper puzzles, and exploration wasn't a huge component of the game. But you did get to fight and sneak and evade lasers quite a lot. It's definitely not a traditional adventure game like the first one was.

I think "action adventure" is just a sub-genre anyway. It's still "adventure"...

In my opinion, the best RPG of all time (that I have played) is either Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 or the first Mass Effect.....

I also believe Shadow of the Colossus is the best action/adventure game I have ever played, although if it were more 'action' than 'adventure' we were talking about then I would say God of War II.

RPG: I dont know, lots of RPG's have different focus and merits so I cant call that one.

It's Hard to say with RPG's because there is several sub genres. So I'll go like this:

Strategy RPG: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (GBA)

Turn-Based RPG: Dragon Quest IX

Action/WRPG: Oblivion and Fallout 3 (TIE)
