I was wondering if any of you guys would please write your top 10 list of best RTS games in the last six years.

I ask for top 10 because I can't find good articles about it online, and if I just said RTS games everyone would just write Starcraft over and over again.

TOp of the list has to be:

1. Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak. Arguably one of the better single player (emphasize the single player) RTS games to have come out in the past decade or two, let alone the past six years. I think some people might debate the value of it if they paid full price, but the game is so much fun, so cinematic, and so so so worthy of the "Homeworld" title I don't regret a single penny.

2. Starcraft 2 is pretty fun!

3. Wargame: Red Dragon is a tactical RTS (no base building) and more of a military sim, but it's still an RTS. Lot's of fun if you are a military buff! The whole Wargame series is pretty solid!

4. Offworld Trading Company is probably my second pick out of recent RTSs simply because it is the most novel; there's no real combat to it, it's not a military RTS like we are used to. Instead, it's an economic RTS, you fight with resources, stock options, money...stuff like that. And all on the planet Mars! It's made by some former Firaxis/Civilization folks, and it really shows because it is a really fun, polished, to-the-point title.

5. Grey Goo is a game made by former Westwood Studios folks (of Command and Conquer fame) and it takes the tried and true three-faction formula and makes a really great, well-balanced game out of it. Pretty good singleplayer game, excellent and very unique factions that play very well against each other in multiplayer.

If you want to expand your range to 7 years, you may want to check out Dawn of War 2.
