#1 Metal Gear Solid 1's main theme - Beautiful, just beautiful
The track is called "The Best is Yet to Come", I have it on my winamp. It is my favorite theme song, everything about it just fits with the MGS series so well. This track did miracles for the in game scenes and is by far the most original and artistic game theme song i've ever heard. This is coming from a guy who doesnt like opera-esque music. Those who havent played the game should at least give the song a listen.
The Metal Gear Solid series has been known to possess some of the best sound tracks ever. Kojima is pure class when it comes to the artistic aspects of video games. The only other series i can think of that can rival MGS's soundtrack is probably the Final Fantasy Series. Team Ico would be up here but they really dont have a "series", at least not yet.
#2 Shadow of the Colossus Battle sound tracks - Pure Epic. IMO the sound track was really what defined the game for me. Riding on top of giant colossi with the orchestrated epic heroic themes was just awesome. It really immersed you and made you feel that taking on those giant monsters was truly an amazing feat
