Hi!

I'm new here, my name is Alex and I am a huge fan of video games and their music. For some time I'm passive user of this forum, but I've already decided to register and post comments with you about gaming.

I open this thread to discuss the soundtracks of different brands and games.

So, we tend to make videos of video game music because it is a way to combine two passions, but there comes a time when you run out of ideas, obviously have not played all the games out there, and many of his soundtracks I have not I heard.

So, I'm just asking for help to find new games and new music to carry out my work.

PLEASE do not take this as spam, just ask help to learn a little more.

----------------------------------

Ok so I personally think Nintendo (be bad, or good games) has very appropriate and original soundtracks, just think about pokemon or zelda ... I love <3

But the next one could be microsoft, check Halo, or Fable soundtracks, very very beautifull:

Amazing for me... (this video it's not mine)

Thanks for the welcome, and I hope your comments. (Excuse my english please >. <)

Alex

My favortie soundtrack was from smackdown vs eaw 2006.

Favourite score is a combination of the mass effect games.

Hi, thanks for reply.

I don't know if smackdown make his own music, is original? Anyway, yes, is accurate i think.
And Mass effect, in my opinion is a very very good game with a perfect ambience and sound effects, very good orchestra OST, I forgot this game.

Thanks, i have in my mind Mass Effect now.

I have a top 100 list with the rule of one-two songs per series, so on it are tracks from almost 100 separate games:

Part 1

Part 2

I can provide additional soundtracks as well, many sacrifices were made to adhere to the 1-2 per series rule

That would be Chrono Cross in my book. I've never heard a soundtrack so fitting of the game it was in and yet equally amazing on its own. Shadow of the Colossus would be a close second.

My top 10 in no particular order:

Silent Hill 3 (Or Silent Hill 4: The Room)
Frozen Synapse
House of the Dead: Overkill
Neotokyo
Machinarium
Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
Shatter
Transistor
The World Ends With You
Halo: ODST (Could probably put another Halo game in here, too)

Honorable Mentions

Metroid Prime
Endless Space
Shadow of the Colossus
Jet Set Radio Future
Bayonetta (Some parts of the soundtrack may rub people the wrong way, but it's one of the most expansive OSTs ever assembled)

Deus Ex HR, Mass effect series, Witcher series, Ezio Trilogy, POPWW, DOS, Xcom EU, Telltale games, DMC3,4,reboot and DAO. Particular soundtracks in these games: Amnesia DD, Dishonored, Max Payne 2, HL2, NFSMW1, Crysis 2 and RE4. Damn.

Some great games mentioned I would like to add that Stewart Copeland did a great job on the original Spyro games.

The chrono series does have amazing soundtracks.

I think Nier had the absolute best soundtrack. I enjoyed every single track in that game, and would sometimes just sit in the field to listen to it. It's in fact the only game OST I ever sought out and got (and still listen to on occasion). Other games like the FF series had some phenomenal tracks, but nowhere near the amount that Nier has.

Its way to hard to compare a whole games soundtrack, but here are a few of my personal favourite individual pieces of music.

I agree. I loved the music to those games.
