Come on, you gotta like some of them. Now, most of these tunes are from the old-school era; they're full of nostalgia, that's why I deem them the best freaking songs ever heard on a videogame.

I know that's a lot, but I have a hard time finding a top-three. More like top 33, lol.

The soundtrack for the Sonic Adventure games. Also the music form Zelda and F-Zero.

I would vote for the "Super Mario Bros" or for F-Zero..F-Zero had good music! and don't forget Tetris!!SwOOp_de

I post this just about every time I see a thread like this, but Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger have amazing soundtracks

Guilty Gear, and every iteration/spin-off of it, and its "spiritual successor", BlazBlue.NBSRDan

I love a ton of video game music, i have it on my ipod. Some great ones are Blaster Master, all of Banjo Kazooie, all of Diddy Kong racing, Starfox, the list goes on. It's all good. All from nintendo of course =)

Castlevania Symphony of the Night - Lost Painting

This is definately one of the best songs ever put in a game. It captures the mood of the game perfectly. I've spent alot of time just pressing "select" on the controller (to pause the action without killing the music) just to listen to it. Might be my favourite game tune of all time.
Abandoned Pit is also good from that game but it's not so much a songas it is a perfect mood setting.
