Hi, I've been looking for a trustworthy website where I can buy my games from, preferably at considerably discounted prices (what can I say I'm a cheapskate :P), you guys got any suggestions?

I've looked at websites like G2A, gamers-outlet, kinguin and unlimitedgamestore, but I'd really like some feedback before I make a decision, thanks!

@rodrigo632: Hey, I've bought some games from G2A, haven't really had any problem with them. But there is one major thing, use the G2A Shield... Most of the "scams" that go around are caused by the fact that people don't really want to pay out the extra 1 € to get some buyer protection.

@snahigh: Wait, that website encourages you to pay extra to ensure that you get a working key, and can screw you over if you don't?

That's awful. I'd encourage everyone to avoid that website like a plague.

The best way to get buyer protection is simply to buy from legit stores. Legit stores also have the added bonus of ensuring that you don't get banned on Steam/Guild Wars 2/whatever.

With the amount of legitimate digital distribution stores on the internet these days (Steam, GOG, Humble Store, etc) and the regular extreme discounts (up to 95% off) they offer, it still surprises me that people try to find even better deals at the risk of losing their money to scammers.

Buy from Steam/GoG/Humble Store. Support the developers. If the price isn't where you'd like it, buy something else and wait a few months. Chances are you'll find it cheaper later.

Also, give Bundle Stars and Green Man Gaming a try. I know the former from experience usually has some crazy two-day flash sales that kind of shame even Steam and Humble Bundle (5-7 full games for $2).

Alright, thanks for the intel guys, might go with kinguin, a few of my friends speak highly of it, plus, it seems to have the best prices and the buyer protection thing is only 0.30€ instead of 1€.

@foxhound_fox: I see what you mean, but I like to get the games I want within a week of them coming out and those websites usually offer up to 50% discount even on pre-orders, so it ends up saving me a lot of money.

Please do not bump old threads, it is not encouraged. Also, I would recommend buying from 100% legal and trusted sites like Steam, GOG, Humble Store etc. That way you're ensuring you don't get banned and that you know you're going to get the game.
