Getting to the final boss in a RPG, and half way through forgetting to revive a dead ally, or simply entering a final boss battle in a RPG without a sufficient supply of cures, MP boosts etc.MetalGear_Ninty
Done that too way to many times
Selling old games because of the lack of money, but re-buying them because I miss them. :|
I can't re-count how many times I did that...I know, I'm dumb. :(

Woah, how about putting a spoiler alert there.
wait he really dies? i was making that up:lol:
Selling FF 7. Then buying it again, and then selling it again. This was all before it was selling for a lot. What can I say? I was young and I needed the money. I wish I still had it.
I also bought Unlimited Saga at the recommendation of a Gamestop employee.
At least they took the game back the next day.
Buying BioShock... but then again, it showed me the way out of the mainstream and buying games based off of hype and into what I like. But still, spending $80 to figure that out wasn't a good thing.
Letting my 13 year-old cousin play my PS2 unsupervised. She ended it up dropping it when she picked it up to place it on the floor. When I got home and went to turn it on (after being told what happened) it started making some weird clicking noises and realized that my Burnout: Revenge game was still inside (this was a few years ago). I ejected the disc, then, stupid me wanting to know if it still worked, put the disc back in only to hear it make this god-awful noise that sounded like a dentist's drill. I had to force the tray open since it wouldn't eject after that and saw that the disc looked like it had been scratched with a brillo pad.
I had to end up buying a brand-new system. I felt so sad. That PS2 was the first console I had ever bought with my own money, with my very first paycheck. :( I remember when I first brought it home, looking all spiffy in its big blue box, turning it on and having it greet me with that distinctive "woodoo" sound it makes when the logo flashes across the screen. *sigh*

I might have to do that for Indigo Prophecy...
My biggest mistakes in gaming involve saving over files and having to do everything again. It's happened to me multiple times when playing FFIX.
Buying Juiced...Hated it so much that I never bought an illegal street racing game again.sandroDX
That's too bad, because you'd get a kick out of NFS: Most Wanted

Right now I'm trying to get rid of my Xbox, its games, and a bunch of games for other last gen systems, but I'll barely get anything out of them except for FFVII, which I have no attachment to for a a couple of reasons. Maybe I'll regret getting rid of this stuff, maybe not. I know I don't play my Xbox games anymore, but the KotORs are still good.
I did, for a short time, regret getting rid of my N64, since it had the two Zeldas with it. But I got those for the GC later on, which remedied the situation. Oh, but I also regret buying the GC. Getting a PS2 as my first last gen system--instead of the third--would have been optimal. I also regret buying a Wii instead of saving for one of the other systems, even though I like most of my Wii games. I wish I were inclined to sell it right now, because that would get me a good bit of money (albeit with a huge loss). Bah, I need to apply for jobs now, anyway. :P Last time I was employed was two summers ago (I'm a college student, so I do have SOME excuses).

Now your post is the spoiler. Edit it out of there right now, if you don't want to spoil it for others.
Getting overly involved with an online community of gamers for a certain game. All for nothing in the end.

What do you mean? I'm just curious.
Sold my PS1 games (the thing that made me mad was it was the day they stopped selling them in stores)
Got rid of my Dreamcast
There's a few more that I cant think of at 2am.
