Looks awesome, but then again, so did BioShock's first 10-minute gameplay demonstration. I can't tell how linear and scripted this really is, but I really hope it's more open-ended and complex than the original. I also hope there's other people in the world instead of you and Elizabeth vs. hordes of maniacs. Keeping my eye on it, but keeping the excitement level down.
Any word on it gettig coop??? It looks awesome and it would be nice to have another player control Elizabeth.
i very much dissagree. I think stuff like that is sort unnecessary for games like this. feature filled games like halo and cod should be in a different category than story driven/cinematic games imo.Any word on it gettig coop??? The game does look really interesting. I would love to see more. Heck, I hope there will be a demo version in the future, before it is released.
It looks cool but the I wonder what they are calling these plasmids, and I just love how they completely reused the big daddy soundbite for the bird thing, they need to stray a little bit farther from the Bioshock idea. How did the great scientists in Columbia discover and improve (Booker was able to grab that artillery shell with telekinesis when Dr.Suchong said "Telekinesis can't stop a speeding bullet.") plasmids in the begining of the 20th century when plasmids were discovered through the discovery of ADAM in Rapture in the 50's, and why does this idea of a mindless father figure tank thing run through every Ayn Rand inspired political figure?,
Wow this makes me want to play Bioshock 1 and 2. Never got into them, but I don't know why cause they seem like my type of games.

The spread in the new Game Informer makes it sound a lot more open and dynamic than BioShock, but whether that's accurate is another question.Looks awesome, but then again, so did BioShock's first 10-minute gameplay demonstration. I really like the voice actor who's doing the protagonist. He sounds older than the usual young tough stud hero. When i first heard about this i thought it would be another bioshock game but man this blows me away at every turn. It still has the core stuff like powers but man its so unique in itself. The powers seem so much more over the top than before. I am definitly eager for this.
I'm curious how Bioshcok Infinite will be received by conservatives, I mean the video starts off looking at a mural of George Washington holding the Ten Commandments in one hand with the Liberty Bell in the other, with depictions of horrific Mexicans, Jews (like something Nazi's would make to look like a Jew), Chinese, Irish, Native Americans, East Indians etc, all with their arms reaching out crowd around him with the slogan underneath of "Guard Against the Foreign Hordes" decorated around this with American flags, in the top it reads "For God and For Country", in the corner of the mural is the arrows (like the 13 arrows that the eagle on the American seal holds representing power) and the other corner the bundle of olive branch's (representing peace, like the arrows part of the seal), except in the other corners of course the eagle and opposite the Christian cross the streets are adorned with a jingoistic amount of patriotic ornaments, numerous large red white and blue flags drape from every building, as he walks through the streets some signs say "For Race, For Race, For Fatherland", as he gets toward the park signs are saying "They'll Take Your Gun", "They'll Take Your Wife", "They'll Take Your Business", "They'll Take Your Life", and above reads a sign "...to the ramparts, patriots, all!", another sign across the way by the hotel reads "It Is Our HOLY DUTY To Protect Against Foreign Hordes and Anarchists" I dunno, what do you think? it seems to want to be like a culmination of American social conservatismlamprey263
Black people are conspicuously missing. I guess that's off limits. Otherwise you're racist. Like Capcom.

I am not sure I understood what you said. Anyway, I really enjoy games with coop and they are a lot more fun to me.

*Shrugs* I agree that the RE5 controversy was ridiculous and will deter most designers from including blacks in their games, but given the prevailing attitude towards blacks in 1910, its believable that blacks wouldn't be part of a government funded floating city.

I doubt it. There was that weird audio playing when Dewitt was passing the burning building that sounded something like, "Five colored men destroyed the front yard of 'stricken uganda', started right.. when a colored man, known only as yellow slashed through the 'tripto unknow' heart with a razor.. the white friend of the wounded man... started after the negro...who proceeded to the 'toolshed.'" Black fear is, at least, addressed.

I meant on the "Guard Against the Foreign Hordes" poster which depicts every minority under the sun except black people.

In a game that has a story driven narrative, even with a somewhat open world, having co-op drastically interferes with the power of the storytelling. The point of Elizabeth's character is that you're rescuing a woman, and she is giving all of herself to aid you. The use of her powers physically drains her. You can see that she has a nosebleed after using her powers. Having this as a co-op experience would remove a great portion of the dynamic between the characters.[QUOTE="teufelherz"]i very much dissagree.
