Oh yes, it's that time of year when material possessions take priority over human life and people line up at their local Wal-Mart at 3am to get a sweet deal on that new microwave. Alight maybe not, but consumer electronics are always the focus of Black Friday and that of course includes video games. Now I'm in Canada so we have Black Friday: Lite, you hope for a full flavor but in the end it's a watered down day with some reasonable deals. Being who I am, and actually thinking things through last year, I discovered that I could get similar deals through online shopping, specifically through eBay. I picked up my Xbox One and 3 or 4 games for it and it ended up being about 400 dollars in total with no fighting, pushing or swearing my Black Friday has been forever changed.

If you didn't know Black Friday deals were online you're welcome and secondly, what are you planning to shoot for on Black Friday 2015? Would you go back and play an older game if you can grab it for 10 bucks? Or are you looking for that new release marked down to 35 or 40 dollars? Personally I have some specific games that for whatever reason I didn't buy when they were brand new or because I didn't have my next gen console at the time of release. I'm really looking for a cheap cheap Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor as well as Dying Light. I'm hoping to find a hard copy of Assassins Creed Black Flag as the downloaded one I currently have is taking up precious storage space and I'm also looking for a racing game whether it be Forza 6, Need For Speed or even The Crew if the price is right. I may even give Destiny a shot if I can find The Taken King version. All of these are games I should have played but never got the chance too and I'm hoping Black Friday 2015 is as good as 2014 was for me.

What is the number one game on your lists this holiday season?

I really can't even remember the last time I ventured out on Black Friday. I do all my shopping on Amazon and Best Buy.com now. Everything will eventually make it's way on sale there.

Me personally I am just looking to pick up some of the older Xbox One games since I just bought the system. I will be looking for the MCC, Sunset Overdrive, and Dead Rising 3 for cheap. I will also probably try and pick up one of the Forza games. I'm not that much into racers myself, but my daughter's boyfriend is, and every time he comes over there aren't a lot of racing games here for him to play.

I will also be looking for a copy of Dying Light. I bought the game when it first came out, but I traded it away. Now I find myself wanting to play through it some more, but the price is still pretty high to buy normally. I may also pick up The Taken King if there is a good deal on it. I liked playing through Destiny when it first came out, but once I hit level 20 the game sucked. Now that they fixed the leveling system I may take another look at it. That's probably it game wise. Although I do need to pick up a microwave and another PS3 since both of them decided to die on me.

Is it worth scavenging some stores later during the day that way I don't go get trampled?

I imagine probably not, so gonna do my shopping online. Looking to get an XB1

I live in NYC. I used to be security guard for a big mall. Stay away! Seriously, wait for cyber monday or something. People fight for $1 towel that dropped in price by $0.25. Seriously! They lose their humanity for nothing. Most of those sales aren't even sales

@coasterguy65: Dying Light seemed to be one of those games that people slept on and then watched videos and said "hey this looks pretty cool" so now the price has stayed the same, I agree with your Destiny opinion and that was the main reason I stayed away, a lot of those grindy games tend to get boring quick. Also you should look for a microwave that also plays PS3 games, I'm sure that those are a thing now.

@AsadMahdi59: I would recommend to avoid stores, it's sad that the holiday has turned into fighting and nonsense like it has, but I got my Xbox One with Black Flag and Unity downloads through eBay last year and it was the same price as the stores with a 10 dollar shipping cost.

I used to work in retail and it was the exact same thing, prices would be marked up only to be marked down again for Black Friday and then people lose their minds over the "deals"

I like your theory about Dying Light, but I have my own theory. Game prices stay high on games I want, no matter how long I put off waiting to buy them. Amazingly as soon as I buy said game it will drop in price almost instantly for some reason :-)

Yeah Destiny is was a pretty good game. It's leveling system just worked against someone who just wanted to play the game single, and you did have to grind way too much. I'm hoping it works out better now that they have fixed some of it's issues with TTK.

A microwave that plays PS3 games, now that's an interesting concept. Sony would have a gold mine if they came up with a microwave that played PS4 games. Pretty much every college dorm in the country would have one.
