Bloodborne Goes Gold

According to Gamespot

Bloodborne has now gone gold. We can probably expect a patch, but the game itself is now done and it's getting ready to be shipped. Who is getting this for hte PS4? One of the the most hyped games this year regarding exclusives and overall games

I'm excited, but trying to reserve my expectations. I loved playing the Dark Souls games, but the new formula is unproven. The preview gameplay has all looked very pretty though.

Side note: I think it's funny how its normal to expect console games to be patched immediately. I know it's been like that for a while now, but still.

And now to play the waiting game. I'm not really hype, but I am looking forward on it's release day. I'll pick it up when the reviews are up.

Unfortunately because of Destiny and the Order 1886, I have developed a sense of reservation when a game is hyped..so no day one release grab for me, but if the reviews are good, I will pick it up.

I've not preordered. I won't buy day 1. But I'm very excited for it, hope it turns out well, and will buy it down the road if it turns out great. Right now I've got a backlog of fun stuff to clear out

This game looks awesome and is probably the only game that I really want on the PS4 right now. Not sure when I'll get around to picking one up but this will most likely be the first game that I'd get for it.

well to be honest no one hyped theorder except for its graphics which actually delivered on that aspect, sadly not in the rest of the game, but anyway finally bloodborne is almost here, seems to be the first real next gen game.

The thing I'm most interested in is the shift from a defensive to offensive play style. The dynamic will definitely be different and I love that in a sequel (spiritual sequel, but still).

Me neither..... I had a choice to make between The Witcher 2 and Dragons Dogma a while back and the more I hear about the series the more I wonder if I made the right choice....

Never played the souls game and never will how can anyone justify buying something that they may never ever be able to beat, I have a ps4 and leaning more torwards just picking up battlefield hardline up I don't get the hype of bloodborne and why it does have a cult following because its overly hard and difficult is that it?!? Enjoy the game

i got no idea, Witcher just never appealed to me

If they can't beat it they need to get gud as I beaten the Souls games and I look forward to Bloodborne not just because it's hard it's also the gameplay that will be really good going by the Souls games.

I'm amazed at how many people fall for hype of the moment. Yet you see it over and over again.

Miyazaki's got a track record of GOTY games behind him on this. Bloodborne is part of a line of consistently high quality games. He's earned a lot of trust and a die hard following.

I'm well aware. Still, it's funny seeing the hype phenomenon in full effect.

How are people "falling for the hype"? All the previous games were very well received both by critics and consumers so it only makes sense that this game would be highly anticipated. For people to "fall for the hype" again and again then that would infer that the previous game weren't well received and people kept expecting each next game to be a quality game despite being let down by the previous ones.

In this day and age, I think the "Gold" status means little and less.

The only thing related to the game i liked so far is that people got it when they donated blood in Denmark

Seems like everyone is really excited for Demon Soul's 4 ayy Lulu?

All I know is that this game is the only game I'm interested in getting lately. At least until Batman: Arkham Knight drops in June.

@Lulu_Lulu: Nope. Bloodborne it is. Can't trust Kojima to fix his work at this point. The only good game in the series is MGS 2, and it's only because it's Kojima's F*** you to his misguided fans.

It's not enough to make me want a PS4...but I'd probably buy it if I get a PS4 later on.
