Borderland's Review

I honestly think Borderlands needs a better rating than 8.5. I know it's mostly a matter of opinion, but some games are just simply better than what the critics think. 8.5 doesn't cut borderlands, if you ask me. I think maybe a nine, Gameinformer might have overdone it with a 9.5, but 8.5 is not something that equalizes Borderland's GLORY... What do you think?

That little opinion portion in your post pretty much destroys your arguement. It's the reviewer's opinion that it's 8.5 and it's your opinion that some games are better than the reviewers say it is.

If you like the game why does the score matter to you?

It's a good game but really doesn't deserve to score higher. It has a lack of variety with enemies who repeat the same thing over and over, lots of bugs, and not much of a story.

I'd give it an 8/10, and I've played through level 50.

It's fun but honestly, it's shallow, repetitive, and it has some bugs.

never met a bug in the game... Im level 50, and aiming to get my Sniper skill up to 100 ^^

The enemy virarity is sort of limited, but Ive seen worse. The weapons are fun, and often act pretty different.

Where the game either shines or break down is Co-OP and not depending on the game, but rather the players, man I hate those people who run smak into a base, go down, and gets pissed off because noone in thier right mind wanted to go after him and die aswell.

What I like most about the game, is that it does not take itself too seriously, its a fun game, not pretending to be anything else then a fun game.

That said I think the 8.5 is about right. most games gets over praised and you get dissapointed, but this one I felt the score really did fit the game.
